When every slot is filled, South Africa will be covered in 24/7 unbroken intercession — crying out for healing, for breakthrough, and for God’s hand to move powerfully across our land.
How it works: Book one or more hourly prayer slots across the full year. When all slots are filled, we achieve continuous, unbroken prayer coverage over the nation. Daily prayer points will be available below the calendar to guide your time with God.

I declare that my life and all that concerns me is under the Lordship of Jesus Christ (Romans 14:8; Colossians 1:16–18).

WEEK 17: DISCIPLING THE NATION
Day 116 (24 September 2026)
Theme: Disciples as Kingdom Influencers in Every Sphere:
Praying for disciples across South Africa to understand that discipleship does not end with personal spiritual maturity, but equips believers to represent Christ faithfully and influence the environments in which God has placed them. As disciples are formed, grounded, and governed by Christ, they must carry Kingdom values into families, education, business, government, media, the arts, communities, and every sphere of society. We pray for a Church that does not retreat from society, but faithfully embodies the character, wisdom, justice, truth, and compassion of Christ within it.

Action item 1: Pray for disciples to recognise their kingdom assignment in every sphere.
Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.14 “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
- Father, open the eyes of Your people to understand that every believer has a purpose and assignment within Your Kingdom. Father, establish Kingdom influencers within South African families. In the name of Jesus. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14)
1 Corinthians 12:4-7 “Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.”
- Father, make Your people effective salt and light within South African society. Father, raise disciples who will influence schools, colleges, universities, and educational institutions with wisdom, excellence, truth, and integrity. In Jesus’ name. “You are the salt of the earth.” (Matthew 5:13)
Colossians 3:23-24 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
- Father, help Your Church recognise and celebrate the different gifts, abilities, skills, and callings You have placed within the Body of Christ. Father, raise disciples who will faithfully represent Christ within government, public institutions, media, entertainment, the arts, sport, technology, and culture. In Jesus’ name. “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:4)
Action item 2: Pray for disciples to bring kingdom values into the systems and institutions they influence.
Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.”
- Father, raise disciples who will carry righteousness into every position of influence You have entrusted to them. Father, let righteousness, truth, integrity, excellence, and justice influence South Africa’s schools, universities, businesses, government departments, municipalities, and public institutions. In Jesus’ name. “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice.” (Proverbs 29:2)
Jeremiah 29:7 “But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.”
- Father, establish integrity within the institutions where Your people serve. Father, raise up disciples who will stand for justice and fairness within the systems they influence. In Jesus’ name. Daniel was distinguished because “an excellent spirit was in him,” and those seeking grounds against him could find no corruption or fault. (Daniel 6:3–4)
Daniel 6:3-4 “Then this Daniel became distinguished above all the other high officials and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom. 4 Then the high officials and the satraps sought to find a ground for complaint against Daniel with regard to the kingdom, but they could find no ground for complaint or any fault, because he was faithful, and no error or fault was found in him.”
- Father, release a spirit of excellence upon Your people. Father, teach Your people to seek the welfare of the communities where You have placed them. In Jesus’ name. Daniel ‘became distinguished above all the other high officials and satraps’ because an excellent spirit was in him. (Daniel 6:3)
Action item 3: Pray for disciples to become visible and credible witnesses of Christ in society.
Philippians 2:14-16 “Do all things without grumbling or disputing, 15 that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, 16 holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labour in vain.”
- Father, let the lives of Your people clearly demonstrate the reality of Jesus Christ. Father, strengthen Your disciples to remain faithful when they are misunderstood, criticised, rejected, or opposed. In the name of Jesus. “You are a letter from Christ” (2 Corinthians 3:3)
1 Peter 2:12 “Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honourable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.”
- Father, strengthen Your people to live faithfully in a culture that constantly pressures believers to compromise their convictions. Father, make Your people credible witnesses in the workplace and marketplace. In the name of Jesus. “Do all things without grumbling or disputing.” (Philippians 2:14)
2 Corinthians 3:2-3 “You yourselves are our letter of recommendation, written on our hearts, to be known and read by all. 3 And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.”
- Father, establish deep integrity within Your people. Father, let the relationships of Your people demonstrate the character of Christ. Help the Church serve communities in practical ways so that people experience compassion, generosity, justice, and hope through the actions of believers. In the name of Jesus. “You are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by all.” (2 Corinthians 3:2)
NATIONAL PRAYER FOR VISIBLE AND CREDIBLE WITNESSES OF CHRIST:
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we thank You that You have called us to be witnesses of Your Son. We pray that the Church in South Africa will become a visible and credible demonstration of the Gospel.
Lord, let the lives of Your people speak. Teach us to reject what dishonours You. In media and the arts, let Christ be represented with truth, excellence, beauty, and wisdom. Let our good works never become a substitute for the Gospel, but let our good works provide a credible demonstration of the Gospel we proclaim.
Father, raise up disciples whose lives are so aligned with Christ that people can see the difference Jesus makes. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
