Scriptural Anchors during these 365 Days of Prayer

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from  heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (Primary anchor scripture – national repentance and healing)
Joel 2:12-13 “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.” (Consecration through heartfelt repentance and returning to God)
Leviticus 20:7-8 “Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God. And you shall keep My statutes, and perform them: I am the Lord who sanctifies you.” (National holiness and separation unto God)
Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” (National alignment under God’s Lordship)
Daniel 9:4-5 “And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, ‘O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments, we have sinned and committed iniquity, we have done wickedly and rebelled, even by departing from Your precepts and Your judgments.’” (Identification repentance for national sin)
Romans 12:1 “Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.” (Consecration and surrender)
Psalm 24:3-4 “Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.” (Purity and spiritual preparation before God)

Personal Prophetic Declarations to Pray every day.

NB: Before embarking on these prayers, pronounce these declarations which establish:

  • The Lordship of Jesus Christ over your life (authority and alignment)
  • Justification and covering (blood and righteousness)
  • Protection (Isaiah 54:17 principle)
  • Consecration and separation (holiness and spiritual boundaries)

I declare that my life and all that concerns me is under the Lordship of Jesus Christ (Romans 14:8; Colossians 1:16–18).
I declare that the blood of Jesus speaks on my behalf, and I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (Hebrews 12:24; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
I declare that no weapon formed against me or all that concerns me shall prosper because of these intercessory prayers, in Jesus’ Name (Isaiah 54:17).
I separate myself from all ungodly soul ties, monitoring spirits, and familiar spirits, in the Name of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 6:17; Colossians 2:15). Amen.

WEEK 15: KINGDOM CULTURE AND BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW

Day 99 (7 September 2026)

Theme: The Word of God as the Foundation of Culture

Praying for the Word of God to be restored as the foundation of truth, wisdom, righteousness, and moral discernment in South Africa. Praying that individuals, families, institutions, and cultural spheres will increasingly be shaped by God’s revealed truth rather than by changing ideologies, social pressures, or cultural trends. Asking God to establish a people who know His Word, live according to it, and faithfully bring its truth into every sphere of society so that truth shapes culture rather than culture shaping truth.

*All scriptures (unless otherwise stated) are from The Passion Translation (TPT)

Action item 1: Restore the Word of God as the foundation of truth and wisdom

Psalm 119:105 “Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your Word makes my pathway clear.”

Proverbs 9:10 “The starting point for acquiring wisdom is to be consumed with awe as you worship Yahweh. To receive the revelation of the Holy One, you must come to the one who has living understanding.”

2 Timothy 3:16–17 “God has transmitted His very substance into every scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness. 17Then you will be God’s servant, fully mature and perfectly prepared to fulfill any assignment God gives you.”

  • Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for a renewed hunger and thirst for Your Word throughout the Church and across our nation. Let Your people be consumed with an insatiable hunger for Scripture – to read it, understand it, believe it and live by it. We pray that Your Word will once again be recognised as the trustworthy foundation for truth, wisdom, morality, justice and righteous living.   We cancel every rejection, distortion, manipulation and relativisation of biblical truth, and pray for hearts to turn back to the authority of Scripture. In accordance with Psalm 119:105, let Your Word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, guiding us in our daily choices and decisions. Let Your truth shape our homes, churches, communities and nation.

Action item 2: Raise a people who know, obey and live the Word of God

Deuteronomy 6:4–9 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. 5Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.” (NIV)

James 1:22 “Don’t just listen to the Word of Truth and not respond to it, for that is the essence of self-deception. So always let his Word become like poetry written and fulfilled by your life!”

Colossians 3:16–17Let the word of Christ live in you richly, flooding you with all wisdom. Apply the Scriptures as you teach and instruct one another with the Psalms, and with festive praises, and with prophetic songs given to you spontaneously by the Spirit, so sing to God with all your hearts! 17Let every activity of your lives and every word that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring your constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for you!”

  • Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we pray that believers will move beyond merely hearing or possessing Scripture to being transformed and consumed by Your Word. Let Your Word govern our thoughts, choices, relationships, conduct and values. Raise up a generation deeply rooted in Scripture, able to discern truth from deception and remain faithful to You despite every cultural pressure.

Action item 3: Establish God’s truth as a foundation within society

Isaiah 8:20You are to answer them: ‘Listen to the teaching and instruction of the Lord! If their speech does not line up with His word, they will have no light of dawn!'”

Matthew 5:13–16 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” (NKJV)

Isaiah 5:20 “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who replace darkness with light and light with darkness, who replace bitter with sweet and sweet with bitter.”

  • Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, let Your truth influence the values and standards that shape South African society. Let biblical principles of righteousness, justice, dignity, integrity, compassion and responsibility be reflected in our education, media, arts, business, leadership and public discourse. Give those entrusted with influence the courage and conviction to uphold Your truth, even when it is unpopular, and let their decisions bring honour to You and blessing to our nation. Amen.
