Joel 2:12-13 “Now, therefore,” says the Lord, “Turn to Me with all your heart, With fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.” So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm.” (Consecration through heartfelt repentance and returning to God)

WEEK 11: THE CHURCH AS GOD’S TRANSFORMING AGENT
Day 77 (16 August 2026)
Theme: The Church as a Faithful Steward
Action item 1: Pray that the Church will recognise and faithfully steward what God has entrusted to her.
1 Corinthians 4:2 “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
1 Peter 4:10 “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.”
Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the LORD’S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”
- Father, teach Your Church to recognise that everything we possess ultimately belongs to You. Forgive us where we have treated Your gifts, resources, opportunities, influence, and responsibilities as though they belong to us rather than being entrusted to us. Give us the heart of faithful stewards. Teach us to manage what You place in our hands with wisdom, discipline, integrity, and accountability. May we faithfully steward our families, finances, gifts, relationships, leadership opportunities, businesses, ministries, and places of influence. Let nothing entrusted to us be wasted through negligence, selfishness, fear, or poor stewardship. Make the Church trustworthy with what belongs to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Action item 2: Pray for righteous stewardship of resources and influence in South Africa.
Deuteronomy 8:18 “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth, that He may establish his covenant…”
Luke 16:10 “He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.”
Proverbs 11:11 “By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: But it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked.”
- Lord, establish righteous stewardship among Your people in South Africa. Raise believers who understand that resources and influence are not merely privileges, but responsibilities. Teach us to create, manage, invest, distribute, and multiply resources in ways that honour You and serve people. Deliver Your Church from greed, waste, corruption, entitlement, and the misuse of influence. Raise Kingdom-minded professionals, entrepreneurs, leaders, employers, investors, administrators, and decision-makers who will use what You have entrusted to them to strengthen families, create opportunities, develop communities, and contribute to the flourishing of the nation. Let integrity govern the handling of resources in the Church and among Your people. May the blessing You place upon Your people become a blessing to South Africa. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Action item 3: Pray that faithful stewardship will produce multiplication and generational blessing.
Matthew 25:21 “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.”
Genesis 1:28 “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion….”
Proverbs 13:22 “A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children…”
- Father, establish a culture of faithful stewardship that produces multiplication. Teach us not merely to preserve what You have given us, but to cultivate it so that it produces fruit. Where You have given gifts, let them be developed. Where You have given resources, let them be multiplied. Where You have given influence, let it be used for righteousness. Where You have given opportunities, let them become doors through which others can also be blessed. Break the cycle of waste, mismanagement, and short-term thinking. Give Your people a generational mindset that asks not only, “What can I receive?” but, “What can I build, multiply, and leave behind?” Let faithful stewardship become a pathway through which families, communities, institutions, and the nation are strengthened. May what You entrust to Your Church become fruitful, multiplied, and preserved for generations to come. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
