We are inviting every believer, every church, and every prayer network to join us in placing a 365-day prayer shield over our nation. One hour at a time. One heart at a time. Together.

Scriptural Anchors during these 365 Days of Prayer

Psalm 2: God’s sovereignty over the nations; “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance.”
1 Timothy 2:1-4: Prayers and intercessions for all people, especially those in authority, so that we may live peaceful and godly lives.

Personal Prophetic Declarations to Pray every day.

NB: Before praying every day during your slot, pronounce these declarations which establish:

  • The Lordship of Jesus Christ over your life (authority and alignment)
  • Justification and covering (blood and righteousness)
  • Protection (Isaiah 54:17 principle)
  • Consecration and separation (holiness and spiritual boundaries)

I declare that my life and all that concerns me is under the Lordship of Jesus Christ (Romans 14:8; Colossians 1:16–18).
I declare that the blood of Jesus speaks on my behalf, and I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (Hebrews 12:24; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
I declare that no weapon formed against me or all that concerns me shall prosper because of these intercessory prayers, in Jesus’ Name (Isaiah 54:17).
I separate myself from all ungodly soul ties, monitoring spirits, and familiar spirits, in the Name of Jesus Christ (2 Corinthians 6:17; Colossians 2:15). Amen.

PRAYER WEEK FOR FAMILY

Family is the foundation of everything God has established and built. When marriages are healthy and families are strong, communities flourish—and ultimately, so does the nation.

That is why the family is target number one for the enemy to destroy. The values surrounding family have shifted from strong Judeo-Christian principles to worldly norms.

This week, we will focus entirely on family and all that it includes: marriage, parenting, children, family unity, legacy, protection, peace, and declaring opportunities and blessings over families in South Africa.

Scriptural Anchors:

  • Joshua 24:15 (nKJV): “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

  • Colossians 3:13-14 (nKJV): “Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”

DAY 5 (6 May 2026) – PRAYING FOR FAMILY LEGACY

In corporate terms, people often speak about having a succession plan—asking the question: who will we pass the baton to? In the same way, every family has a generational line. According to the Word of God, we pass things down to our families—whether good or bad.

It has been said that we leave an inheritance to our children, but we leave a legacy in our children. Today, we focus on breaking generational curses and releasing generational blessings. We commit to nurturing a strong spiritual heritage—teaching our children the ways of God and building a foundation that will sustain generations to come.

ACTION ITEM 1: BREAK STRONGHOLDS OVER THE NEXT GENERATION

  • Proverbs 13:22 (nKJV): “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.”

  • Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (nKJV): “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house…”

Prayer to Break Generational Curses: Father, in the Name of Jesus, we come before You on behalf of our bloodlines. We ask that You forgive all sin and iniquity from the past. We renounce every ungodly pattern and cycle of sin. By the power of the blood of Jesus, we break every chain of bondage. We declare that dysfunction, addiction, and fear stop with us. We establish a new legacy in Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Take a moment to ask the Holy Spirit to reveal specific patterns in your family; pray forgiveness and mercy over your family tree.

Prayer for Spiritual Heritage: Father, we commit to building a strong spiritual heritage. May our children and their children know You intimately. Let our homes be places where Your presence resides—where prayer and worship are frequent. Help us to intentionally invest in the spiritual growth of the next generation. We declare that our families will serve the Lord from generation to generation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

ACTION ITEM 2: PRAY FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS

  • Psalm 78:4 (nKJV): “We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done.”

  • 1 Timothy 2:1-4 (nKJV): “…that prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life…”

  • Psalm 33:10-11 (nKJV): “The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing… The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart to all generations.”

Prayer for Passing Down Faith and Wisdom: Lord, help us to faithfully model Your truth so our children may follow. Give us wisdom to lead and guide them in Your ways. We declare a new wave of leadership in South Africa—a generation that puts You first, acting with godly sincerity and a hunger to know You more. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer for Future Generations: Lord, we lift up the generations we may never meet. Go before them and prepare the way. Protect them, guide them, and draw them into an intimate relationship with You. Let them rise as carriers of Your truth. We declare that future generations will be stronger and more devoted to You because of the foundation we lay today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

ACTION ITEM 3: LET US DECLARE GENERATIONAL BLESSING

  • Genesis 12:2-3 (nKJV): “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing.”

  • Psalm 112:1-3 (nKJV): “Blessed is the man who fears the Lord… His descendants will be mighty on earth; the generation of the upright will be blessed.”

  • Psalm 103:17 (nKJV): “But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children.”

Prayer to Establish Generational Blessings: Father, we thank You that we are empowered to build a godly future. We speak generational blessings over our families in South Africa. We release the Spirit of God to flow over the hearts of the next generation. We declare righteousness, peace, and joy in our family line. We pray for a wave of blessing over South Africa’s economy and that new leaders will rise to prosper in all they do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Declaration Over Generations: We declare that our family line is blessed and set apart for the purposes of God. Every generational curse is broken, and every blessing is established. Our children and their children will walk in faith, truth, and righteousness. They will be leaders, not followers. Our legacy will not be one of brokenness, but of restoration. Not of defeat, but of victory. As for us and our house, we will serve the Lord—from generation to generation. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
