Today's Prayer Points
Week 2: Personal & Household Consecration (Praying for the Family)
We continue on the theme for family, this week we are looking at the sub –
theme of personal and household consecration. We are examining our
personal hearts as part of the unity in the family and what we have and are
contributing. The Lord requires righteous families so we can have righteous
communities and nation.
Week 2: Day 1
ACTION ITEM 1: PERSONAL REPENTANCE & HEART EXAMINATION
PSALM 51: 1 – 10
“1Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to
your great compassion blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash away all my
iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I know my transgressions, and my
sin is always before me. 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done
what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when
you judge. 5 Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother
conceived me. 6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught
me wisdom in that secret place. 7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be
clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. 8 Let me hear joy and
gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. 9 Hide your face from my
sins and blot out all my iniquity.10 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and
renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
1 John 1: 9
“8If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in
us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our
sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
Psalm 139: 23 – 24
“23Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious
thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way
everlasting.”
Isaiah 1: 18 – 20
“18 ‘Come now, let us settle the matter,’ says the LORD. “Though your sins are
like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson,
they shall be like wool. 19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good
things of the land;20 but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword. For the
mouth of the LORD has spoken.”
Focus:
Calling individuals to take responsibility before God for their role within
the family structure. Ask the question: “What is my role and how have I
contributed to the building and or dismantling the family unit?”
Direction:
Invite the Holy Spirit to search the heart (attitudes, words, behaviours)
Repent for:
Pride, selfishness, anger, neglect; dishonour within family relationships,

PRAYER OF REPANTANCE
Father in the mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we come to the
throne of Grace in repentant hearts. We ask for the forgiveness of our sins, sins of
commission, omission and transgression. Remove the heart of stone from us and put
in the heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26). Forgive us for repeated toxic patterns that are
killing the unity of our families – (Exodus 7:14 and Exodus 8: 15). We are repentant
for not recognizing and not obeying Your word when You Lord instruct us as Soldiers
in Your army not to be concerned about civilian life as this will not please our Master
– (2 Timothy 2: 4). We repent for not having a pure hearts, clear conscious and
genuine faith – (1 Timothy 1:5). In Jesus Christ name we pray. Amen
ACTION ITEM 2: CONSECRATION OF THE HOUSEHOLD ALTAR
2 Corinthians 6: 16 – 18
“16 What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we
are the temple of the living God. As God has said:
“I will live with them
and walk among them,
and I will be their God,
and they will be my people.”
17 Therefore,
“Come out from them
and be separate,
says the Lord.
Touch no unclean thing,
and I will receive you.”18 And,
“I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.””
1 Peter 2: 9 – 10
“9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s
special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you
out of darkness into his wonderful light. 10 Once you were not a people, but
now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now
you have received mercy.”
Joshua 3: 5
“5Joshua told the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will
do amazing things among you.’”
Exodus 19: 10 – 11
“10And the LORD said to Moses, ‘Go to the people and consecrate them today
and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes 11 and be ready by the third
day, because on that day the LORD will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight
of all the people’.”

PRAYER ON THE FAMILY ALTAR
Father, we rededicate our homes to be holy ground unto you. We demolish and repent
of every evil altar we have erected in our homes that is contrary to Your will, Judges 6: 25-27. We reestablish and re dedicate our family prayer altars and commit
ourselves as a family to the Lord, Deuteronomy 6: 4-5. We commit to teaching our
children the principles and values of the word, we commit to daily read the word and
worship as a family so as to establish strong foundation not only as a family but for
the future of our children and nation. Deuteronomy 6: 7-9. In the name of Jesus
Christ, we pray. Amen
ACTION ITEM 3: BREAKING GENERATIONAL PATTERNS &
ESTABLISHING GODLY ORDER
Exodus 20: 4–6
“ ‘4You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven
above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow
down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous
God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth
generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a
thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.’”
Romans 5:12
“12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death
through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned…”
Isaiah 53:5–6
“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are
healed.
6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way;
and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.”
Hebrews 9:14
“14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal
Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts
that lead to death,[c] so that we may serve the living God!”

Declare a new spiritual order:
Christ as the foundation
Righteousness as the standard

reordering under God’s authority
PRAYER FOR BREAKING GENERATIONAL PATTERNS AND
ESTABLISHING A GODLY ORDER
Heavenly Father,
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I come before You with a humble heart,
interceding for my family and all of Your people. Lord, Your Word declares in
Romans 5:12 that through one man, sin entered the world, and through sin
came death — and because of that, all have sinned. But, Father, I thank You
that through Jesus Christ, grace and life have now entered our story!
Lord, I acknowledge that apart from You, we are bound by the effects of sin —
fear, sickness, confusion, and separation. But through Your Son, You have
redeemed us from the curse of death and given us the gift of eternal life. “For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of
sin and death” (Romans 8:2 KJV).
Father, I plead the blood of Jesus over my family and Your people. Let every
trace of sin, shame, and guilt be washed away. Let every chain of spiritual
death and decay be broken in Jesus’ name. You said in Your Word, “If any
man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold,
all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV).
Today, I declare newness over our lives — new hearts, new minds, new
beginnings, and new strength.
Lord, I thank You for the cross — that where Adam brought sin, Jesus brought
righteousness.
Where death once reigned, grace now abounds. Let the resurrection power of
Jesus Christ flow through every area of my family’s life — through our faith,
our health, our relationships, and our purpose.
Father, fill us with Your Spirit that we may walk in righteousness and truth.
“For as by one mans disobedience many were made sinners, so by the
obedience of one shall many be made righteous” (Romans 5:19 KJV). I
declare that my family and Your people are covered by the obedience,
sacrifice, and victory of Christ.
Thank You, Lord, for redeeming us from sin and death. Thank You for giving
us grace upon grace, mercy upon mercy, and life everlasting. From this day
forward, we walk in freedom, holiness, and divine restoration through Jesus
Christ our Lord.
In Jesus Christ name I pray, Amen.
