WEEK 14: KINGDOM FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES   

Day 94 (2 September 2026)

Theme: Building Healthy Kingdom Communities

Action item 1: Restore a culture of belonging and mutual responsibility

Acts 2:42-47 “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44Now all who believed were together and had all things in common 46 continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.”

Philippians 4:19 “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Romans 12:4-5 “For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.”

Galatians 6:2 “Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

• Father, thank You that we are all members of one body, the Body of Christ. The enemy’s greatest strategy is to divide Your body and make us feel disconnected from one another. There where the enemy divides and isolates, Christ Jesus unites us. Add daily to Your church as we remain faithful to Your Word, fellowship, communion and prayer. Lord, we ask for the increase in souls as the Fear of the Lord spreads over our communities. Jehovah Jireh, we acknowledge You as our only Source. You have never failed us. You have promised that You shall supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and not one of Your promises have failed. Lord, Your Word never returns empty. What You have spoken, You will accomplish.” Father, You have promised, where there is lack, You will provide; sickness, restore health; replace fear with a revelation of Your perfect love, where there is confusion, bring order and direction. Where there seems to be no way forward, make a way through the wilderness. Restore a culture of belonging to replace the loneliness, raise people to come alongside a burden, bringing it before You in prayer. Unite us as a people who belong to one another, and who are willing to stand together in prayer and faith. Let Your love, Your presence and Your faithfulness be seen among us, and let this culture of belonging draw people to Christ.

Action item 2: Strengthen communities to care for the vulnerable

James 1:27 “Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.”

Proverbs 31:8-9 “Open your mouth for the speechless, in the cause of all who are appointed to die. 9Open your mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.” (NKJV)

Isaiah 58:6-10 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?

7Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8Then your light shall break forth like the morning, your healing shall spring forth speedily, and your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. 9Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; you shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, 10If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday.” (NKJV)

• As our Father, we ask in the name of Jesus that You give us Your heart for the widows and orphans, those who are hurting, vulnerable and carrying heavy burdens. Give us hearts that respond to the needs of children, the elderly, widows, single parents, those living in poverty, people with disabilities, and those who feel marginalised. Give us as the Church wisdom to know what to do, compassion to respond, and generosity to share what You have placed in our hands. Activate Your Church and families in bringing practical support, restoring dignity and reminding people that they are seen, valued and loved. Teach us to pray for others, to speak up for those without a voice, and to stand with those who are struggling. Lord, as we extend ourselves to those in need, let Your Word come alive among us. Let Your light break forth in places of darkness, let healing spring forth, and let burdens be lifted. When we call, we know You are there. When we cannot see a way forward, You make a way. Let breakthrough come not only to individuals, but throughout the Body as we care for one another and trust You together. Make our churches, families and communities places where people are seen, supported and restored.  

Action item 3: Cultivate generous and servant-hearted communities.

1 Peter 4:8-10 “And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.” 9Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. 10As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards…”

Philippians 2:3-4 “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”

Hebrews 13:1-3,16 “Let brotherly love continue. 2Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. 3Remember the prisoners as if chained with them, those who are mistreated, since you yourselves are in the body also. 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased”

• Father, birth a spirit of love within us, not only for our brothers and sisters, but for those who do not yet know You. Let us see people through the eyes of Jesus and love them as He does. Use our lives to draw people to Christ, so they may know that His invitation is for all and that the way to the Father is open to everyone through Jesus. As we learn to see others through Your eyes, may our focus shift to loving them into Your Kingdom. Teach us to treat people with such love, compassion and kindness that they are drawn to You. Let our generosity, our hospitality and our service reflect Jesus. Remove all selfish ambition or conceit from those who are building for self-gain, soften their hearts to experience Your love for the poor, vulnerable and the marginalized. Father, You have given each of us gifts, abilities and resources; teach us to use them as we serve one another and grow in the stewardship of Your grace. Give us willing hearts to do good, to share what we have, and to serve without grumbling or looking for recognition. Let our generosity and service flow from our love for You and become a blessing to those around us. We pray in the name of Jesus.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:

• We declare that our churches, families and communities will see the vulnerable and respond with compassion.
• We declare that God is raising generous and servant-hearted people.
• We declare selfish ambition, competition and indifference are giving way to love, hospitality, generosity and a willingness to serve one another.
• We declare that Jesus will be seen through the way we love and care for one another.
• Our unity, generosity and compassion will become a witness to our communities, and the Lord will draw people to Christ and add to His Church.
