WEEK 14: KINGDOM FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES
Day 95 (3 September 2026)
Theme: Reconciliation and Restoration
Action item 1: Heal division and broken relationships within families
Malachi 4:5-6 “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. 6And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,
And the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse”
Colossians 3:12-15 “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”
Ephesians 4:41-32 “Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.”
Luke 15:24 “for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.” [The Parable of the Lost Son Luke 15:11-32]
- Father God, we repent of any cycles of bitterness, wrath, anger, clamour, rejection, abandonment, abuse, evil speaking, and unresolved conflict that have led to years of division and brokenness in our families. The enemy sought to sow division and deny families the Blessings You command when families dwell together in unity. But today, we stand on Your Word and ask You to heal every wound, Let every curse of division be broken, and let the hearts of fathers be turned toward their children and the hearts of children toward their fathers, according to Your Word in Malachi 4:6 Where there has been offense, bring reconciliation, where there has been separation, let love cover a multitude of transgressions and where there has been hurt, let forgiveness bring healing. Break every destructive cycle and establish peace, unity, and restoration in our families as the healing flows. Let us put on love, the bond of perfection. Help us see our spouses, parents, children or siblings as holy and beloved. Clothe us with tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; being tender-hearted and forgiving one another as Christ forgave us. May there be great rejoicing in our homes as relationships are restored and prodigals return. May parents welcome their children home with open arms, declaring, “My child was dead and is alive again; was lost and is found.” We thank You that we can stand on Your Word, knowing that You turn our sorrow into dancing and our mourning into joy. Let the healing and restoration of our families become a powerful testimony of Your redeeming love.
Action item 2: Pray for reconciliation within communities
Ephesians 2:14-18 “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity. 17And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. 18For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.
Romans 12:18 “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.”
2 Corinthians 5:18-20 “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.”
- Father God, we repent of the way division, prejudice, hostility, pride, fear, and unforgiveness have created walls between us. Forgive us for the times we have judged, rejected, excluded, or failed to love our neighbours as You have commanded. Jesus, You are our peace. Through your reconciling power, break down every wall of separation and every spirit of hostility within our communities. Heal wounds caused by history, injustice, misunderstanding, and mistrust. Help us to see one another through Your eyes, with love and compassion. Teach us to live peaceably with one another, as far as it depends on us. Give us humble hearts that listen, seek understanding, extend forgiveness, and pursue reconciliation. Make us ambassadors of Christ—people through whom Your love, peace, and reconciliation can flow. Where there has been division, make us peacemakers. Where there has been hatred, let Your love prevail. Where there has been separation, make us one in Christ, in Jesus’ name we pray.
Action item 3: Raise reconcilers and peacemakers
Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.”
James 3:17-18 “But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. 18Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
Hebrews 12:14-15 “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;”
- Father in the name of Jesus, raise up a generation of reconcilers and peacemakers—believers, families, leaders, elders, pastors, professionals, and young people who will pursue peace and righteousness. Fill us with wisdom from above: pure, peaceable, gentle, merciful, impartial, and sincere. Give us courage to confront conflict with grace, wisdom to restore what has been broken, and humility to pursue peace with all people. Guard our hearts from every root of bitterness. Let the fruit of righteousness be sown in peace through our lives. Make us intentional agents of reconciliation. Establish patterns of peace through us that will be reproduced in our families and communities. Lord, make us peacemakers who carry Your heart, restore relationships, and bring Your peace wherever we go. We pray in Jesus Mighty name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- We declare that the walls of division in families and relationships are coming down.
- We declare that our families are entering a season of healing and restoration.
- We declare that prodigals are coming home.
- We declare that Christ is breaking down every wall of hostility within our communities.
- We declare that God is raising up reconcilers and peacemakers in this season of all generations. Believers, parents, leaders, pastors, elders, professionals, and young people are receiving
- We declare that a legacy of peace is being established for generations to come.
