Theme: Kingdom Families and Communities as Carriers of God’s Culture
Action item 1: Establish Kingdom culture within homes and communities
Colossians 3:12-15 “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. 15And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”
Romans 12:9-18 “Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. 10Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; 12rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; 13distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality. 14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion. 17Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.”
Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.”
- Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, establish the culture of Your Kingdom within our homes and communities. Let truth, honour, integrity, love, righteousness, forgiveness, generosity, responsibility, and service become evident in the way we live and relate to one another. Teach us not only to know Your ways but to embody them in our everyday lives. Let our homes become places where Christ is honoured, character is formed, relationships are strengthened, and Your values are intentionally lived and passed on. Establish Kingdom culture within families throughout South Africa and let it become evident in the way our communities live, love, serve, and care for one another. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action item 2: Let Kingdom character shape how communities live together.
Ephesians 4:1-3 “I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Colossians 3:13-14 “bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection.”
Romans 15:5-7 “Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, 6that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7Therefore receive one another, just as Christ also received us, to the glory of God.”
- Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, teach us to relate to one another according to the character of Christ. Where there is division, establish unity; where there is offence, release forgiveness; where there is pride, establish humility; where there is indifference, awaken compassion. Give families and communities grace to bear with one another, honour one another, and pursue peace. Heal relationships that have been fractured and restore trust where it has been broken. Let our differences no longer become sources of division, but teach us to walk together in love, patience, humility, and mutual honour. May the character of Christ govern our relationships and cause our communities to reflect His heart. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action item 3: Make Kingdom families and communities visible witnesses of Christ.
Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
1 Peter 2:9-12 “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. 11Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, 12having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.”
- Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, make our families and communities visible witnesses of Christ. Let the way we love, serve, forgive, give, care, and live with integrity cause others to see the reality of Your Kingdom among us. May our homes shine with the light of Christ, and may our communities become places where people encounter Your love, truth, mercy, and righteousness. Give us courage to live faithfully and consistently so that our good works point people to You rather than to ourselves. Let the testimony of Kingdom families and communities throughout South Africa draw people toward Christ and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen
PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:
- We decree and declare that the culture of God’s Kingdom is being established within families and communities throughout South Africa, expressed through righteousness, truth, love, integrity, honour, forgiveness, generosity, and service. Colossians 3:12–15; Romans 12:9–18; Galatians 5:22–23
- We decree and declare that Kingdom character is becoming evident in the way families and communities relate to one another, with humility, patience, compassion, honour, and love governing their relationships. Ephesians 4:1–3; Philippians 2:3–4; Colossians 3:13–14
- We decree and declare that where relationships have been fractured, God is releasing grace for repentance, forgiveness, reconciliation, restoration, and renewed trust. 2 Corinthians 5:18–19; Ephesians 4:32; Colossians 3:12–15
