Day 3: Acknowledging God’s Sovereignty

Action Item 1: Declare God’s kingship over South Africa (Psalm 2:6)

Prayer Points:

• Lord God, we declare that You are King over South Africa; all authority and power belong to You alone according to Psalm 2:6 –“I have installed my King on Zion, my holy mountain.”
• We proclaim that Jesus is enthroned above every power, system, and principality in our nation in accordance to Ephesians 1:21 – “Far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.”
• Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in South Africa as it is in heaven according to Matthew 6:10 – “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

Action Item 2: Proclaim that Jesus is enthroned above every power, system and principality.

Prayer Points:

• We proclaim that Jesus Christ is enthroned above every power, system, and principality in South Africa; His authority is supreme and unchallenged according to Ephesians 1:20-21 – “…He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked…”
• Every opposing force, visible or invisible, must bow to the Lordship of Jesus Christ over this nation according to Philippians 2:9-11 – “Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place… that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord…”
• We declare that the destiny and future of South Africa are secured under the reign of Christ, and no power can thwart His purposes standing on Colossians 2:15 – “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.”

Action Item 3: Thank God for His purpose and destiny for our nation.

Prayer Points:

• Father, thank You for Your redemptive purpose and destiny for South Africa; we trust Your plans for our nation for You said in Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you… plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
• We praise You for Your faithfulness throughout our history and for every promise spoken over our land standing on Psalm 89:1 – “I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.”
• We thank You for Your promise of a RIGHTEOUS GOVERNMENT in our land and that South Africa is called to be a nation of righteousness, justice, and peace; standing on Isaiah 60:18 – “Violence shall no longer be heard in your land… but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.”
