Day 5: Contending for the Nation’s Destiny

Action Item 1: Ask God to give South Africa as an inheritance to Christ (Psalm 2:8)

Prayer Points

• Father, we ask that South Africa would be given as an inheritance to Christ Jesus, according to Your promise for You said in Psalm 2:8 – “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.”
• Let the destiny and redemptive purpose You have spoken over South Africa be fulfilled in this generation according to Isaiah 46:10 – “My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.”
• Raise up leaders, churches, and communities who will partner with Your plans for our nation according to Proverbs 19:21 -“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

Action Item 2: Pray for the fulfilment of God’s prophetic promises over the land

Prayer Points

• Lord, fulfil every prophetic promise spoken over South Africa; let revival, restoration, and transformation come to our nation in accordance to Habakkuk 2:3 – “For the vision is yet for an appointed time… Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not delay.”
• Awaken the Church to rise in faith, unity, and boldness to see Your promises fulfilled in line with Romans 4:20-21 – “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith… being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”
• Let South Africa be a testimony of Your power and grace to the nations of the earth in accordance to Isaiah 61:9 – “Their descendants will be known among the nations… all who see them will acknowledge that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”

Action Item 3: Stand against every decree, law, or system that opposes God’s covenant.

Prayer Points

• We stand against every law, decree, or system that opposes Your covenant and righteousness in South Africa according to Isaiah 54:17 – “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn.”
• Overturn every agenda that seeks to undermine Your purposes for our land according to Job 5:12 – “He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot carry out their plans.”
• Let justice, truth, and godly order be established in every sphere of society according to Psalm 89:14 – “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; mercy and truth go before Your face.”.”
