Week 3: Covenant Renewal & Healing the Land
Additional Scriptural Anchors for Week 3:
- 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
- Genesis 2:15: “Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.”
- Deuteronomy 28:3-5: “Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.”
Day 18 (18 Feb): Proclaiming Hope and Divine Reversal Over South Africa
Action item 1: Declaring Divine Reversal and Restoration
Joel 2:25 “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you.”
- Father, we declare that every loss, every broken system, every area of national decline will be restored by Your hand. As You promised in Joel 2:25, You will restore the years and the harvest that have been lost to corruption, violence, and decay. South Africa will not remain under destruction; the Lord will turn what has been eaten, broken, or wasted into abundance and fruitfulness.
Action item 2: Proclaiming Joy, Renewal, and Hope in the Nation
Isaiah 61:3 “…to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.”
- Lord, we decree that the spirit of heaviness and despair over South Africa be replaced with Your joy, hope, and strength. As Isaiah 61:3 declares, let the beauty for ashes rise in our cities, towns, and communities. Raise a new generation of leaders, citizens, and intercessors who walk in courage, faith, and wisdom. Let Your Spirit bring revival and inspire hearts toward righteous living.
Action item 3: Affirming God’s Sovereignty and Redemptive Purpose
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.”
- Father, we declare that nothing is beyond Your ability to turn around. Romans 8:28 reminds us that all things work together for good for those who love You. We trust that even in the midst of crisis, corruption, and decay, Your plan for South Africa will prevail. Let Your purposes be fulfilled, Your covenant honoured, and Your glory revealed in our nation.
