Day 4: Establishing Future Righteous Leadership
Action item 1: Pray for Future Leaders
1 Timothy 2:1-2 “Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.”
- Father, we lift up the future leaders of our nation before You. We ask that You raise men and women of integrity, humility, and godly wisdom who will govern in righteousness. May they be guided by Your Spirit, uphold justice, and lead our people into peace and prosperity under Your divine authority.
- Lord, we pray that the leaders You appoint will create an environment where Your people can live quiet and peaceable lives in godliness and reverence. Break the influence of corruption and ungodly ambition, and establish leaders who honour Your Word, protect the vulnerable, and advance Your kingdom purposes in our land
Action Item 2: Establish Justice in Governance
Proverb 29:2 “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”
- Father, we pray that You establish justice in every level of governance within our nation. Let unrighteousness and corruption be uprooted, and may leaders walk in truth, fairness, and integrity, so that the people may rejoice under righteous authority.
- Lord, we ask that You raise leaders who govern with wisdom and justice, reflecting Your righteousness. May their decisions bring peace, prosperity, and joy to the people, and may our nation be known for governance that honours You and serves the common good.
Action item 3: Uphold Righteousness in the Nation
Amos 5:24 “But let justice run down like water, And righteousness like a mighty stream”
- Father, let righteousness flow through our nation like a mighty stream. Establish Your truth as the foundation of our laws, institutions, and communities. May every sphere of society be aligned with Your Word, reflecting integrity and holiness.
- Lord, raise leaders and citizens who uphold righteousness in their decisions, actions, and relationships. Break the power of compromise and corruption, and let our nation be marked by purity, justice, and covenant faithfulness before You.
