Restoring Wisdom Through the Fear of the Lord

Action Item 1: Restoring the Fear of the Lord as the Foundation of Wisdom

Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”

Father, restore in me and in this generation the holy fear of the Lord according to Proverbs 9:10, that we may walk in reverence before You. Let Your fear be the foundation of our wisdom, guiding our decisions, purifying our hearts, and aligning our steps with Your eternal Word. May the knowledge of the Holy One shape our understanding, so that every sphere of life reflects Your glory and truth..
Lord, without the fear of the Lord we cannot walk in true wisdom. Our choices have failed to produce godly fruit. Today we ask that You restore Your rightful place in our lives and in our nation. We honour You as the Holy One and give You the reverence that belongs to You alone.
Establish the fear of the Lord again as the foundation of our lives. Let every decision we make flow from wisdom and the understanding of Your ways. Restore the fear of the Lord in our hearts and let it become the heartbeat of our nation. May it become a cornerstone that restores our families, communities, and leaders.

Action Item 2: The Fear of the Lord Gives Us Understanding to Depart from Evil

Job 28:28 “Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom, and to depart from evil is understanding.”

Proverbs 14:27 “The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life, to turn one away from the snares of death.”

Father, we thank You for the gift of wisdom we receive when we fear You. According to Your Word in Job 28:28 the fear of the Lord gives us understanding to depart from evil.
We ask that You release a spirit of understanding upon us so that our eyes will recognize every path of evil. Give us the strength and courage to turn away from it. Lead us into paths that reflect Your righteousness. Teach us to choose what is right in Your sight and guide our hearts and protect our minds by Your truths.
Lord, let the fear of the Lord rise like a fountain of life across our land. Deliver us as in Proverbs 14:27 from the snares of death, from every deception, corruption, violence, and destruction that seeks to ensnare Your people.
Turn us away from every path that leads to destruction and lead us instead into paths of wisdom, righteousness, and life. May the fear of the Lord guard our steps, protect our nation, and lead us into the blessing of Your ways.

Action Item 3: Establish the Fear of the Lord In Us as a Source of Life and Protection

Proverbs 14:26 “In the fear of the Lord there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge.”

Psalm 34:7 “The angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them.”

Father, we acknowledge that the fear of the Lord is the source of our strength and confidence in Proverbs 14:26. Remove every fear that comes from the world and replace it with the boldness that comes from trusting in You as our refuge.
Lord, restore confidence in our land through the fear of the Lord. Let leaders, families, and communities place their trust in You as their refuge and protector. Establish our nation in the security that comes from honouring You.
Raise up a generation that fears and honours Your name. Establish them in wisdom, righteousness, and faith as they walk in Your ways.
As the fear of the Lord is restored in our nation, we stand on Your promise in Psalm 34:7. Send Your angels to encamp around us and deliver us from every danger, every attack of darkness, and every hidden trap set by the enemy.
Let Your presence be a shield around our nation so that we may dwell securely, knowing that You are our deliverer and our protector.
