Advancing Light in the Family Sphere
Action item 1: Establishing Godly Homes
Prayer Point: We declare that homes across South Africa will be firmly established on God’s Word, teaching His truth diligently in every household, so that families become places where His light dwells and His Kingdom is visibly manifested.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
- Father, we declare that homes across South Africa will be established upon Your Word. Let Your truth be taught diligently within families. Restore the altar of prayer in households, and cause Your presence to dwell richly in our homes.
Action Item 2. Restoration of Love and Unity
Prayer Point: We clothe families across South Africa in compassion, kindness, humility, and love, asking the Holy Spirit to heal broken relationships, restore unity, and make every home a reflection of God’s light and Kingdom purposes.
Colossians 3:12-14 “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.”
- Lord, clothe families in compassion, kindness, humility, and love. Heal broken relationships and restore unity where there has been division. Let Your love become the binding force within homes across this nation.
Action item 3. Speaking Life
Prayer Point: We declare that every word spoken within homes across South Africa will release life, blessing, and truth, and we ask the Holy Spirit to empower families to speak words that build, encourage, and reflect God’s light in every household.
Proverbs 18:21 “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
- Holy Spirit, sanctify the words spoken within our homes. Let life, blessing, and truth replace negativity and destruction. Cause families to become environments where Your light is nurtured and sustained.
