Advancing Light in the Workplace and Economy
Action item 1: 1. Integrity and Excellence
Prayer Point: We commit workplaces and all spheres of labour in South Africa to God, asking the Holy Spirit to empower His people to work with integrity and excellence, performing every task as unto the Lord so that His light and Kingdom purposes are reflected in every place of influence.
Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”Father, we declare that homes across South Africa will be established upon Your Word. Let Your truth be taught diligently within families. Restore the altar of prayer in households, and cause Your presence to dwell richly in our homes.
- Father, in the name of Jesus, we ask that You establish a culture of integrity and excellence within workplaces across South Africa. Let Your people work as unto You, reflecting diligence, faithfulness, and truth in every sector of the economy in the name of Jesus.
Action Item 2. Uprooting Corruption
Prayer Point: We come against every form of corruption, dishonesty, and injustice in South Africa, asking the Lord to expose and uproot ungodly systems, and to establish righteousness and integrity so that His light may shine clearly in every sphere of society.
Proverbs 11:3 “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”
- Father God, we come against corruption, dishonesty, and unjust gain in our economic systems. Expose and uproot every structure built on deception. Establish righteousness as the foundation of our economy in the matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Action item 3. Witness through conduct
Prayer Point: We ask God, through the Holy Spirit to empower the Church in South Africa to model integrity, sound speech, and upright conduct in every sphere, so that our lives become a visible witness of Christ and draw many to the light of His Kingdom.
Titus 2:7-8 “In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.”
- Dear God, we ask through Your Holy Spirit, and in the name of Jesus our Lord, let the conduct of Your Church in the workplace become a testimony of Your truth. Cause our actions and words to reflect integrity, that many may be drawn to the light of Christ through what they see.
