Advancing Light in the Communities
Action item 1: Praying for Leaders
Prayer Point: We lift up all leaders and those in authority in South Africa, asking the Lord to grant them wisdom, integrity, and the fear of God, so that we may live in peace and order as His light and righteousness are established in the nation.
1 Timothy 2:1-2 “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”
Father in the name of Jesus, we lift up all leaders and those in authority in South Africa. Grant them wisdom, integrity, and the fear of the Lord. Guide their decisions so that peace and righteousness may prevail in our nation.
Action Item 2: Establishing Righteous Governance
Prayer Point: We ask the Lord to establish justice and righteousness across South Africa, empowering the Church to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with Him, so that His light is revealed in every community and system.
Isaiah 9:7 “Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this.”
- Lord Jesus, let Your government be established upon justice and righteousness in South Africa. Overthrow systems rooted in corruption and establish leadership that aligns with Your will.
Action item 3: Awakening Responsible Citizenship
Prayer Point: We ask You Father to awaken the Church in South Africa to rise as salt in the nation, influencing society with righteousness and truth, and engaging responsibly so that God’s light and Kingdom values are preserved and advanced in every sphere.
Matthew 5:13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavour, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”
- Father God, we pray asking that You awaken the Church to rise as salt and light within the nation. Remove passivity and stir us to engage responsibly, influencing society with Kingdom values.
