Day 24 (25 May 2026)
Day 2: God’s blueprint for marriage is infallible, enabling families to overcome, prosper and advance His kingdom
Action Item 1 Covenant Love never Fails
1 Corinthians 13:8 “Love never fails…”
- Father, 1 Corinthians 13:8 declares Your covenant love never fails. We repent for where we have not trusted in Your covenant and relied on our own understanding. Teach us to walk in this unconditional love as it becomes the foundation of our marriage and family relationships. We pray this in Jesus’ name.
1 Corinthians 10:13 “No temptation [challenge, trial] has overtaken you…but God is faithful, … not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will make a way of escape…”
- Father, You are with us to be in every situation we face as 1 Corinthians 10:13 declares. We repent for the times we have felt overwhelmed, fearful, discouraged, impatient and done our own thing. Open our eyes to Your ‘way of escape’ for us. Give us wisdom and discernment to know Your path. Strengthen our marriage as we stand together knowing that You covenant with us, bringing us through every challenge in Jesus’ name.
Deuteronomy 32:10 “He found him in a desert land…He encircled him, He instructed him.
- Father, when You find us in a desert place, Deuteronomy 32:10 reinforces Your covenant commitment and protection as You encamp around us. Lord, bring restoration to the barren areas of our lives while anchoring our hope in Jesus. Teach us to walk in Your ways along paths of righteousness, secure in Your covenant promises. In Jesus’ name.
Action Item 2: Overcoming together as a Family
Joshua 24:15 “…choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether it is the gods which your fathers served…in whose land you dwell. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
- Father, as You lead us along paths of righteousness, we recognize the daily decision we face choosing to serve You as Joshua 24:15 declares “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”. In those areas where we have served other gods through ignorance, tradition or lack of trust, we repent for not fully understanding and following Your ways. Lord, train us to respond quickly in repentance as You bring instruction and correction in the way we need to go. Establish our hearts in covenant dependence as we serve You wholeheartedly and walk in obedience to Your will. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God…”
- Father, as we commit to serving You and walking in Your ways, Romans 8:28 reminds us of Your promise that You work all things together for the good of those who love You. As we follow Your instruction, we trust You are redeeming every circumstance for Your glory and our good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Item 3: Guard and Build Unity in the Family
Deuteronomy 32:30 “How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight…the Lord surrendered [enclosed] them.”
- Father, as we commit to serving You and walking in covenant with You, Deuteronomy 32:30 reminds us that unity releases multiplied strength and victory. Forgive us for the times we have not turned to You in our desert and not walking in Your intended outcome. Teach us to be more reliant on You and Your ways to ensure Your victory. As You encamp around us in times of trouble, instruct us in Your ways, unite our hearts that we may stand together in faith and overcome every challenge in accordance with Your word. Let our family unity bring glory to Your Name and keep us secure in Your covenant promises. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Item 4: Restoring Godly Roles and Legacy
Ephesians 5:25 “Husbands love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word…”
- Father, thank You for entrusting me with the covenant responsibility of marriage. Teach me to love my wife as Christ loved the Church, according to Ephesians 5:25. Let Your Word wash and shape both our hearts, that my life and leadership may reflect Your love and righteousness.
1 Peter 3:7 “Husbands, dwell with them with understanding, giving honour to the wife… as being heirs together of grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
- Help me to lead with gentleness and understanding, honouring her as my covenant partner in You and fellow heir of Your grace, according to 1 Peter 3:7. Strengthen me to serve, protect and encourage my wife according to Your ways, that our marriage may flourish in unity, peace and covenant faithfulness, and that our prayers may remain unhindered before You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
James 5:16 “…pray for one another…”
- Father, thank You for the covenant gift of marriage and for the grace to stand before You as a wife. Teach me to walk in wisdom, humility and love according to Your Word. As James 5:16 calls us to pray for one another, stir my heart to faithfully bring my husband before You, standing in covenant with Your Word in every circumstance.
1 Peter 3:1 “Wives, be submissive to your own husbands, that if some do not obey the word, they without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives.
- According to 1 Peter 3:1, let my life reflect a gentle and quiet spirit that honours You. Forgive me where I have spoken or responded from hurt, impatience or fear rather than trusting in Your ways. Teach me to support, strengthen and encourage my husband through understanding and prayer, allowing Your Spirit to guide my words and actions. Unite our hearts in covenant faithfulness and let our marriage reflect Your peace, love and righteousness. May our family be established in Your presence and our lives bring glory to Your Name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
