WEEK 6: ECONOMIC REDEMPTION AND STEWARDSHIP
Day 40 (10 July 2026)
Theme: Righteous Stewardship of National Resources: Praying for wisdom, accountability, and integrity in the management of South Africa’s land, minerals, water, energy, infrastructure, and public finances.
Action item 1: Prayer for wise stewardship of national resources.
1 Kings 3:9 “Give your servant a discerning heart to govern Your people…”
Proverbs 8:15–16 “By me kings reign and rulers issue decrees that are just; 16by me princes govern,
and nobles; all who rule on earth.”
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously…”
- Father God, we pray in Jesus’ name for wise stewardship of national resources. Grant responsible and just management of land, water, minerals, energy, and infrastructure in our nation.
Action item 2: Intercede for accountability and transparency.
1 Corinthians 4:2 (NKJV) “Moreover, it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.”
- Father, we ask that You release divine wisdom to all who are entrusted with these resources, that they may govern with integrity, fairness, and long-term vision. Let every decision reflect righteousness, accountability, and care for future generations. We pray for ethical governance of public assets. Father, expose every form of waste, negligence, and abuse in our systems. Strengthen oversight structures and raise responsible administration marked by integrity, accountability, and justice. Let public resources be managed with wisdom and care for the benefit of all in Jesus’ name.
Action item 3: Declare faithful stewardship over South Africa.
Isaiah 58:11–12 (NKJV) “The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. 12Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations…”
- Father, we declare in the name of Jesus, that resources will serve future generations and will not be wasted or misused. We declare wisdom, integrity, and accountability over leaders and institutions across the nation. We call forth faithful stewards, raised and appointed by God, who will walk in divine alignment with His purposes and manage resources with responsibility and care.
