WEEK 7: RESTORATION OF NATIONAL IDENTITY AND PURPOSE
Day 43: (13 July 2026)
God as the Author of National Destiny- recognising that God’s establishes nations and appoints their purposes.
Action item 1: Repent for rejecting God’s purpose for South Africa
2 Chronicles 7:14 “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Daniel 9:8-10 “O Lord, to us belongs shame of face, to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, because we have sinned against You. 9To the Lord our God belong mercy and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him. 10We have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk in His laws, which He set before us by His servants the prophets.”
Joel 2:12-13 “Now, therefore,’ says the Lord, ‘turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. 13’So, rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness; and He relents from doing harm.”
Action item 2: Ask God to reveal His original intent for South Africa
Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.”
Psalm 2:8 “Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.”
Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
Action item 3: Intercede for truth to override manipulation in legal proceedings.
Job 5:12 “He frustrates the devices of the crafty, so that their hands cannot carry out their plans.”
Luke 12:2 “For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.”
Psalm 120:2 “Deliver my soul, O Lord, from lying lips and from a deceitful tongue.”
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me, says the Lord.”
Prayer
Heavenly Father, we come before You in humility and repentance. Forgive us for embracing ungodly ideologies, corruption, division, violence, and self-interest instead of seeking Your will and purpose for South Africa. Forgive us for trying to build our nation apart from Your wisdom and design.
Lord, reveal Your prophetic purpose for South Africa to Your Church, our government leaders, educators, business leaders, and the next generation. Break every false narrative, spirit of hopelessness, and identity confusion, and replace them with Your truth, hope, and divine vision. May our nation walk in Your purposes and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prophetic Declarations
- We declare that South Africa was established by God for His divine purpose. South Africa will fulfil the destiny ordained for us, and her people will seek You Lord and find You.
- We declare that the plans of the Lord for South Africa are good—to give her a future and a hope according to Jeremiah 29:11. Every purpose of God for this nation will come to pass.
- We declare that the counsel of the Lord shall stand over South Africa according to Isaiah 46:10. Every scheme, agenda, or power that seeks to divert this nation from God’s destiny will fail.
- We declare that South Africa will arise in her God-given identity.
- We declare that this nation will honour the Lord, walk in His wisdom and redemptive purpose for South Africa according to Acts 17:26-27.
