WEEK 8: UNITY & SOCIAL COHESION
Day 56: (26 July 2026)
A United South Africa reflecting Christ to Africa and the Nations: Praying that a reconciled and united South Africa would become a testimony of God’s redeeming power, demonstrating His love, justice, peace, and wisdom as a blessing to Africa and the nations.
Action item 1: Pray that South Africa would reflect Christ’s character among the nations
Isaiah 60:1-3 “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. 2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. 3 The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 “Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Psalm 67:1-2 “God be merciful to us and bless us and cause His face to shine upon us. Selah 2 That Your way may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations.”
- Father, may the glory and the light of Christ arise over South Africa as we reflect Your righteousness, love, and truth. As You restore our nation, may the testimony of Your restoration power be a visible testimony to Africa and the nations of the world. As Your face shines upon us, make Your ways known throughout the earth and Your salvation proclaimed among people of all nations. May our lives glorify You and draw many to Jesus Christ. In His precious name, Amen.
Action item 2: Pray that South Africa would be a Blessing to Africa and the Nations
Genesis 12:2-3 “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Isaiah 2:2-3 “Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established on the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. 3 Many people shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; he will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.” For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
Zechariah 8:23 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.”
- Father, as South Africa fulfils Your purpose, may our nation become a testimony of Your goodness, bringing glory to Your name among all nations. We pray that as Your blessing rests on South Africa; we become a blessing to Africa and the nations of the world. We pray that many will be drawn to You as Your Word, wisdom, and righteousness fill our land and flow from it. May Your goodness lead people to repentance. As our people walk in obedience to Your ways, may we bring the good news of the Gospel to the unsaved as hope, peace, righteousness and justice are restored. We pray this Blessing over South Africa in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Action item 3: Declare that the knowledge of the Lord will fill South Africa
Habakkuk 2:14 “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
Isaiah 11:9 “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.”
Psalm 72:19 “And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.”
- Father, we declare that South Africa shall be filled with the knowledge of Your glory as the waters cover the sea. May the light of Christ shine across South Africa, turning hearts to You and causing righteousness, peace, and justice to flourish throughout every community. As Your Love transforms our nation, break every cycle of violence and destruction, making a way for hope, healing and restoration to spring forth. May Your glory be revealed throughout our land and may all the earth see and praise Your glorious name. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
Prophetic Declarations
- We declare that South Africa will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord, and that His righteousness, peace, and glory will be evident throughout the nation.
- We proclaim that God’s presence will be made known in every city, town, and community, transforming hearts and restoring lives.
- We declare that the Church in South Africa will shine brightly as a faithful witness of Christ, walking in holiness, truth, and power.
- We proclaim that revival will spread across the land, awakening people to repentance, faith, and renewed devotion to Jesus Christ.
- We declare that South Africa will be a testimony of God’s goodness to Africa and the nations, faithfully reflecting the light and love of Christ.
