WEEK 10: NATIONAL REFORMATION & ESTABLISHMENT

Day 67 (6 August 2026)

Theme: Strengthening the Gates – Establishing Every Sphere of National Life

Interceding for every sphere of South African society to be firmly established upon biblical values, righteous leadership, faithful stewardship, and God’s enduring principles, so that the nation may flourish according to His divine design.

Action item 1: Pray for God’s protection and strength over every sphere

Nehemiah 2:17-1817 Then I said to them, “You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace.” 18 I also told them about the gracious hand of my God on me and what the king had said to me. They replied, “Let us start rebuilding.” So they began this good work.” (NIV)

Isaiah 60:18 “Threats of violence will no longer be heard in your land, nor will destruction and ruin be found within your borders. You will name your walls Salvation and your gates Praise” (TPT)

Psalm 127:1 “If God’s grace doesn’t help the builders, they will labour in vain to build a house. If God’s mercy doesn’t protect the city, all the sentries will circle it in vain” (TPT)

  • Heavenly Father, In the mighty name of Jesus, we come before You, asking that You would strengthen and preserve every sphere of national life. Guard all that You have restored from corruption, compromise, injustice, and every attack of the enemy. Let Your gracious hand rest upon South Africa as You continue the good work of rebuilding our nation. According to Isaiah 60:18, we declare that threats of violence will no longer be heard in our land, nor will destruction and ruin be found within our borders. Our walls shall be called Salvation and our gates Praise. According to Psalm 127:1, we acknowledge that unless You build the house and watch over the city, our labour is in vain. Therefore, Lord, surround South Africa with Your shield of protection, let Your name be a banner over our nation, preserve what You have restored, and establish the work of our hands.

Action item 2: Pray for faithful stewardship of national restoration

1 Corinthians 4:2 “The most important quality of one entrusted with such secrets is that they are faithful and trustworthy.” (TPT)

Luke 16:10 “The one who faithfully manages the little he has been given will be promoted and trusted with greater responsibilities. But those who cheat with the little they have been given will not be considered trustworthy to receive more.” (TPT)

Colossians 3:23-24 “Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others. 24For we know that we will receive a reward, an inheritance from the Lord, as we serve the Lord Yahweh, the Anointed One!” (TPT)

  • Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we ask You to raise faithful and trustworthy stewards, as declared in 1 Corinthians 4:2, who will preserve, protect, and advance the work of reformation in government, business, education, communities, and the Church. Raise up men and women of integrity who will faithfully steward every responsibility You entrust to them. May South Africa be led by faithful servants who honour Christ in every sphere of society. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Action item 3: Declare every sphere established under Christ’s Lordship

Colossians 1:16-18 “For in him was created the universe of things, both in the heavenly realm and on the earth, all that is seen and all that is unseen. Every seat of power, realm of government, principality, and authority-it all exists through him and for his purpose! 17He existed before anything was made, and now everything finds completion in him. 18He is the Head of his body, which is the church. And since he is the beginning and the firstborn heir in resurrection, he is the most exalted One, holding first place in everything.” (TPT)

Isaiah 9:6-7 “A child has been born for us; a son has been given to us. The responsibility of complete dominion will rest on his shoulders, and his name will be: the Wonderful One, the Extraordinary Strategist, the Mighty God, the Father of Eternity, the Prince of Peace! 7Great and vast is his dominion. He will bring immeasurable peace and prosperity. He will rule on David’s throne and over David’s kingdom to establish and uphold it by promoting justice and righteousness from this time forward and forevermore. The marvelous passion that the Lord Yahweh, Commander of Angel Armies, has for his people will ensure that it is finished!” (TPT)

Psalm 24:1 “Yahweh claims the world as his. Everything and everyone belong to him!” (TPT)

  • Heavenly Father, In the mighty name of Jesus, we declare that every sphere of South African society belongs to Jesus Christ. According to Psalm 24:1, the earth is Yours and everything in it. According to Colossians 1:16-18, every seat of power, realm of government, and authority exists through Christ and for His purposes. We declare that Jesus Christ holds first place in everything. As Your Word declares in Isaiah 9:6-7, His government shall increase, and He will establish and uphold this nation with justice, righteousness, wisdom, and peace. We proclaim that South Africa belongs to the Lord, and His Kingdom purposes shall prevail, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
