WEEK 10: NATIONAL REFORMATION & ESTABLISHMENT   

Day 69 (8 August 2026)

Theme: Commissioning the Church to Sustain National Reformation.

Calling the Church to arise in unity, holiness, faithful prayer, and courageous witness, serving as God’s instrument to preserve, strengthen, and advance the work of national reformation for generations to come.

Action item 1: Pray for the Church to arise in unity and holiness

John 17:20-23 “And I ask not only for these disciples, but also for all those who will one day believe in me through their message. 21 I pray for them all to be joined together as one even as you and I, Father, are joined together as one. I pray for them to become one with us so that the world will recognize that you sent me. 22For the very glory you have given to me I have given them so that they will be joined together as one and experience the same unity that we enjoy. 23You live fully in me and now I live fully in them so that they will experience perfect unity, and the world will be convinced that you have sent me, for they will see that you love each one of them with the same passionate love that you have for me.” (TPT) 

Ephesians 4:1-6 “1As a prisoner of the Lord, I plead with you to walk holy, in a way that is suitable to your high rank, given to you in your divine calling. 2With tender humility and quiet patience, always demonstrate gentleness and generous love toward one another, especially toward those who may try your patience. 3Be faithful to guard the sweet harmony of the Holy Spirit among you in the bonds of peace, 4being one body and one spirit, as you were all called into the same glorious hope of divine destiny. 5For the Lord God is one, and so are we, for we share in one faith, one baptism, and one Father. 6And He is the perfect Father who leads us all, works through us all, and lives in us all!” (TPT)

1 Peter 1:15-16 “Instead, shape your lives to become like the Holy One who called you. 16For Scripture says: “You are to be holy, because I am holy.” (TPT)

  • Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we pray that the Church in South Africa would arise in unity, holiness, humility, and unwavering devotion to Christ, faithfully representing Your Kingdom in every sphere of society. May we walk worthy of our calling, demonstrating gentleness, patience, and love toward one another, while diligently preserving the unity of the Holy Spirit in the bond of peace. Father, we pray in agreement with the prayer of Jesus in John 17, that Your Church may be one as You and the Son are one. May we experience perfect unity so that the world will know that You sent Jesus and that You love Your people with the same love You have for Your Son. Let the glory You have given Christ be evident in His Church, drawing many to salvation. According to 1 Peter 1:15-16, make us holy as You are holy.

Action item 2: Pray for the Church to sustain the work of reformation

Matthew 5:13-16 “Your lives are like salt among the people. But if you, like salt, become bland, how can your ‘saltiness’ be restored? Flavorless salt is good for nothing and will be thrown out and trampled on by others. 14“Your lives light up the world. For how can you hide a city that stands on a hilltop? 15And who would light a lamp and then hide it in an obscure place? Instead, it’s placed where everyone in the house can benefit from its light. 16So don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly before others, so that your commendable works will shine as light upon them, and then they will give their praise to your Father in heaven.” (TPT) 

Acts 2:42 “Every believer was faithfully devoted to following the teachings of the apostles. Their hearts were mutually linked to one another, sharing communion and coming together regularly for prayer.” (TPT) 

Galatians 6:9 “And don’t allow yourselves to be weary in planting good seeds, for the season of reaping the wonderful harvest you’ve planted is coming!” (TPT) 

  • Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we ask that believers would continue steadfastly in prayer, discipleship, righteous influence, and servant leadership, ensuring that the work of national restoration continues beyond this season of prayer. Let our light shine brightly before others, so that they may see our commendable works and give praise to our Father in heaven. We pray that our hearts will be mutually linked and that we will not be easily offended. Anoint Your Body to fervently intercede, mantle us with prayer, and anoint us with fresh oil. May we never grow weary in doing good but remain faithful until we see the harvest You have promised. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

 Action item 3: Declare the Church a faithful witness to the nation

Isaiah 60:1-3 “Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! 2Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick clouds covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of his glory appears over you! 3Nations will be attracted to your radiant light and kings to the sunrise-glory of your new day” (TPT)

Philippians 2:15 “For then you will be seen as innocent, faultless, and pure children of God, even though you live in the midst of a brutal and perverse culture. For you will appear among them as shining lights in the universe,” (TPT)

2 Corinthians 5:20 “We are ambassadors of the Anointed One who carry the message of Christ to the world, as though God were tenderly pleading with them directly through our lips. So, we tenderly plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Turn back to God and be reconciled to him.” (TPT)

  • Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we declare that the Church in South Africa shall remain a prophetic voice of truth, righteousness, justice, compassion, and hope. Through the Body of Christ, may our nation continually be called back to Your covenant purposes and to reconciliation with You. Lord, let Your Church arise in splendour, for Your glory shines upon her. May the Church in South Africa be a radiant and shining light, reflecting the beauty and truth of Christ. We pray that South Africa will be a beacon of light to the nations, and that nations will be drawn to the radiant light of Christ shining from our land. May we faithfully serve as Christ’s ambassadors, calling people to turn back to God and be reconciled to Him. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:

  • We declare that the Church in South Africa is one, just as the Father and the Son are one, revealing Christ to our nation. (John 17:20-23)
  • We declare that the glory of Christ rests upon His Church, and through our unity the world will know that Jesus was sent by the Father. (John 17:20-23)
  • We declare that the Church in South Africa walks worthy of its calling in humility, gentleness, patience, and love, preserving the unity of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:1-6)
  • We declare that the Church in South Africa is holy, set apart for God, and reflects His holy character. (1 Peter 1:15-16)
  • We declare that the Church in South Africa is the salt of the earth and the light of the world, shining brightly for the glory of God. (Matthew 5:13-16)
  • We declare that the Church remains steadfast in the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, communion, and prayer. (Acts 2:42)
  • We declare that the Church in South Africa will not grow weary in doing good but will reap a harvest of righteousness in God’s appointed time. (Galatians 6:9)
  • We declare that the Church will arise in splendour, for the glory of the Lord shines upon her, and the nations will be drawn to the light of Christ. (Isaiah 60:1-3)
  • We declare that the Church in South Africa is Christ’s faithful ambassador, proclaiming truth and calling our nation to repentance, reconciliation, and God’s covenant purposes. (Philippians 2:15; 2 Corinthians 5:20)
