WEEK 21: STEPPING INTO OUR APOSTOLIC MANDATE – A NATION SENT
Day 138 (16 October 2026)
Theme: Multiply What God Has Entrusted
Action item 1: Pray for God’s People to Multiply what has been Entrusted to Them.
Matthew 25:20-21 “So he who had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, ‘Lord, you delivered to me five talents; look, I have gained five more talents besides them.’ 21His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.’”
Genesis 1:28 “Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
1 Peter 4:10 “As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.“
- Father, from the beginning of creation You revealed Your heart by Blessing Your children and saying, “Be fruitful and multiply.” We repent for the times we were satisfied with self-preservation, not realizing we were called to bear the fruit of multiplication. As the faithful servant said, “Lord, You gave me five talents, and I have gained five more,” help us to develop and multiply the gifts, resources, knowledge, opportunities, influence and responsibilities You have placed in our hands. Guide us how to use our gifts to serve others, as good stewards of Your grace. As each one has received a gift, let us minister it to one another, filling our workplaces with Your goodness. Move us beyond preserving into fruitful stewardship that we will become a blessing to others. Father we will be faithful with what You have placed in our hands, and we trust You to give us greater responsibility. We long to hear, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into Your joy.” We pay in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Action item 2: Pray for Kingdom Fruit to Multiply through People, Institutions and Generations.
2 Timothy 2:2 “And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
Psalm 145:4 “One generation shall praise Your works to another, and shall declare Your mighty acts.”
Isaiah 61:9 “Their descendants shall be known among the Gentiles, and their offspring among the people. All who see them shall acknowledge them, that they are the posterity whom the Lord has blessed.”
- Father, we repent for the times we kept Your word to ourselves and did not pass it on. Let Your righteous influence reach beyond us, into disciples, leaders, families, institutions, systems and every generation that follows. Help us to commit what we have heard to faithful people who will teach others also. Lord, let one generation praise Your works to the next and declare Your mighty acts. May our children and those who follow us know You and walk in Your ways. Let our descendants be known among the nations, so that all who see them will say, “These are the people the Lord has blessed.” We pray in the name of Jesus’. Amen.
Action item 3: Pray for South Africa’s Kingdom Fruitfulness to become a Blessing Beyond itself.
Genesis 12:2-3 “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. 3I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Psalm 67:1-2, 7 “God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, Selah 2That Your way may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations…7God shall bless us, and all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.”
2 Corinthians 9:8-11 “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. 9As it is written: “He has dispersed abroad, He has given to the poor; His righteousness endures forever.” 10Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God.”
- Father, You told Abraham, “You shall be a blessing, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” We ask the same for South Africa. Bless us, and let Your face shine on us, so that Your way is known on earth and Your salvation among all nations. We repent for the times we kept what You gave us for ourselves. Let the strength You multiply in this nation overflow in service to Africa and the nations. You are able to make all grace abound to us. Multiply the seed we sow, and make us generous, including to the poor, so that many give thanks to You. Lord, bless us, so that all the ends of the earth fear You.. Enrich us so that we can be generous in every way, and let that generosity bring thanks to You. We pray it in the mighty name of Jesus.
