Week 9: Faithfulness Produces Increase

Faithfulness in Marriage: Covenant leads to Increase
Action Item 1: Covenant alignment leads to fruitfulness.
Genesis 2:24 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”
- Father, Your word declares in Genesis 2:24 that a man shall leave his father and mother, be joined to his wife and the two shall become one flesh. Establish our marriage on this covenant foundation. By Your Spirit, teach us how to leave, how to cleave and how to become one in covenant. Make us one-united in spirit, soul and body according to Your design.
- Father, we come before You in humility as we repent of any legal rights from past relationship, soul ties, words, strife, agreements, or actions that have given the enemy access to oppose our unity. We renounce every ungodly attachment, covenant, and influence that is not from You.
- Today we choose to lay everything at the foot of the cross that opposes a godly union. In the name of Jesus, we cancel every legal ground the enemy may claim through our past and we declare his hold on us null and void.
- Cleanse us, restore us and seal us by Your spirit. Make our covenant pure before You that we may produce Godly fruit and increase.
- Establish within us a holy unbreakable bond, rooted in Your Word and aligned with Your will.
Action Item 2: Unity and Agreement release Increase
Psalm 133:1-3 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!… 3 For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.
Matthew 18:19 “…if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven”.
Deuteronomy 32:30 “How could one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight…”
- Lord, Psalm 133 declares where there is unity, You command the Blessing. Father, bring us into a unity in our marriage. Let Your anointing flow bringing refreshing and blessing, restoring order and peace. Water every dry place. Restore life in every area of our family and home.
- Lord Jesus, as we come into agreement according to Matthew 18:19, let our prayers carry power and authority. Teach us to stand, speak and believe together according to Your will.
- Deuteronomy 32:30 declares there is strength in our unity. We come against confusion, division, lies, and evil schemes of the devil. Preserve us from harm, seen and unseen. May our unity and obedience lead to increase in all areas of our lives in Jesus’ name.
Action Item 3: Covenant roles that lead to Godly increase.
Ephesians 5:25-26 “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.”
1 Peter 3v1 “Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behaviour of their wives, 2when they see the purity and reverence of your lives”
Job 1:10 “Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household and all that he has on every side. You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.”
- Father, teach us to walk in our roles according to Your design. Let love, honour and humility govern our marriage. May our conduct reflect Your nature, bringing forth righteousness and truth.
- Father, as You placed a hedge of protection around Job and his family (Job 1:10), we ask you to place a hedge of protection around our unity, lives, family, health, relationships, and purpose.
