WEEK 6: ECONOMIC REDEMPTION AND STEWARDSHIP

Theme: Integrity in Commerce and Financial Systems: Praying for honesty, fairness, transparency, and righteousness in trade, banking, procurement, taxation and economic systems.

Action item 1: Prayer for integrity in financial and commercial systems.

Proverbs 20:10 “The Lord hates dishonest scales and unjust measures.” (GNT)

Micah 6:10–11 Am I still to forget your ill-gotten treasures, you wicked house, and the short ephah, which is accursed? 11Shall I acquit someone with dishonest scales, with a bag of false weights?”

Proverbs 16:11 “Honest scales and balances belong to the Lord…”

  • Father God, we pray in Jesus’ name for wise stewardship of national resources. Grant responsible and just management of land, water, minerals, energy, and infrastructure in our nation.

Action item 2: Intercede for ethical leadership in business and finance.

Proverbs 16:12 “It is an abomination for kings to commit wickedness, for a throne is established by righteousness..” (NKJV)

  • We pray Lord, for business leaders, regulators, and financial institutions across our nation. Raise up leaders of integrity, wisdom, and reverence for You. Let accountability be established at every level, and let righteousness guide every decision and system in Jesus’ name.

Action item 3: Declare righteous commerce throughout the nation.

Proverbs 11:1 “Honest scales are from the Lord, and dishonest practices are rejected and removed.”

  • Father, we declare in the name of Jesus, honest weights and measures across all financial and commercial systems in South Africa. We declare transparency, fairness, and justice in every economic transaction in our nation. And we declare that accurate and just standards are established by You our God, and You govern all integrity in business and trade in the name of Jesus.
