Week 3: Covenant Renewal & Healing the Land
Day 15 (15 Feb): Acknowledge God as Owner of the Land & Repent for Neglecting to Guard and Protect the Land
Action item 1: Acknowledge God as Sovereign Owner of South Africa
- Father, in the beginning You created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1), and Your Word declares that the earth is Yours and everything in it (Psalm 24:1). We acknowledge that South Africa does not belong to man, political systems, or history – it belongs to You. We enthrone You as Lord and rightful Owner over this land, its resources, its people, and its future.
Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”
Psalm 24:1 “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.”
Action item 2: National Repentance for Failure to Guard and Steward the Land (Neglecting Boundaries)
- Lord, You commanded humanity in Genesis 2:15 to tend and guard what You entrusted to us. We repent as a nation for neglecting to steward this land with righteousness, justice, and integrity. Forgive us for corruption, bloodshed, exploitation, environmental destruction, and every failure to protect what You planted. Cleanse our land from covenantal breaches and restore us to faithful stewardship.
Genesis 2:15 “Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.”
Action item 3: Recommissioning South Africa to Guard, Cultivate, and Align with Heaven
- Father, we ask that You raise leaders and citizens who will cultivate and guard this nation according to Your purposes. Restore moral boundaries, righteous governance, and godly order. Let South Africa reflect Your Kingdom values, and may this land flourish under Your Lordship as we return to our divine mandate to tend and protect what belongs to You
Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people”
