RECONCILIATION OF SOUTH AFRICA’S PEOPLES: Seeking unity among tribes, cultures, languages, and communities.
Action item 1: Repent for division, prejudice, and hostility among South Africa’s peoples.
Ephesians 2:14 “For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation.”
Galatians 3:28 “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Colossians 3:12–13 “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.”
Action item 2: Pray for reconciliation across every divide
2 Corinthians 5:19 “That is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.”

Action item 3: Declare unity in diversity under the Lordship of Christ.
Ephesians 4:4-6 “There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
Galatians 3:26-28 “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”
Romans 12:4-5 “For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, 5so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.”
- Father, we humble ourselves before You and repent for racism, tribalism, xenophobia, cultural pride, political hostility, and every form of prejudice that has divided our nation. Forgive us for the words, attitudes, actions, and systems that have created mistrust and separation instead of love, unity, and mutual honour.
- Lord, bring healing and reconciliation across every racial group, tribe, language, generation, economic class, and community in South Africa. Remove every root of suspicion, bitterness, fear, and offense, and fill our hearts with understanding, forgiveness, and genuine love. Knit us together in covenant relationships so that we may stand as one people under Your lordship, reflecting Your peace and glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

- We declare that South Africa’s diversity is a gift from God, reflecting His wisdom and creativity, and will be a source of strength, blessing, and unity for the nation.
- We declare that God is raising up one people from every race, culture, language, and background, united under the lordship of Jesus Christ while honouring the unique identity of every community.
- We declare that every spirit of division, prejudice, discrimination, and hatred is broken, and that love, understanding, and mutual respect will flourish across South Africa.
- We declare that righteousness, peace, and mutual honour will prevail in our homes, communities, workplaces, churches, schools, and throughout every sphere of society.
- We declare that South Africa will stand as a testimony of God’s reconciling power.
