Prayer of Thanksgiving and Gratitude for the Family

Heavenly Father,
We come before You with hearts full of gratitude for the gift of family. Thank You
for the people You have placed in our lives; those who love us, support us, correct us,
and walk this journey with us. We acknowledge that every good and perfect gift
comes from You.
Lord, we thank You for Your daily provision, Your protection over our homes, and
Your faithfulness through every season. Even in times of challenge, You have
sustained us. Teach us as a family to cultivate grateful hearts, to not take one another
for granted, and to always recognise Your hand at work among us.
We ask that thanksgiving would be the atmosphere of our home. Let joy replace
complaint, peace replace strife, and gratitude replace comparison. May our family be
known for honouring You with thankful hearts and words that build one another up.
We dedicate our household afresh to You, trusting You with our future and
celebrating You for all You have already done.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

to their parents.”

Prayer for Family Covenant and Renewal

Heavenly Father,
We come before You as a family, acknowledging that You are the foundation and
cornerstone of our home. We thank You for the covenant of grace through Jesus
Christ, and we invite You to renew and strengthen our family covenant under Your
lordship.
Lord, where there has been division, restore unity. Where there has been compromise,
bring conviction and realignment. Where there has been distance – spiritually,
emotionally, or relationally; draw us back together in love and truth. Renew our hearts
toward You first, and then toward one another.
We dedicate our household afresh to You. Let our home be marked by Your presence,
our decisions guided by Your Word, and our relationships rooted in forgiveness,
honour, and love. Establish our family in righteousness, and let generational blessing
flow through obedience to You.
We declare that as for us and our house, we will serve the Lord. Seal us again in Your
covenant love and lead us forward in unity and purpose.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

have commanded you.”

Acts 1:8
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my
witnesses…”

Focus: Sending forth.

Direction: Speak blessings.

Declare a new spiritual order: Commissioning.

Spiritual Outcome: Purposeful living.

Prayer for Commissioning the Family

Heavenly Father,
We come before You as a family, grateful for Your love, Your guidance, and Your
hand upon our lives. Today we respond to Your call with willingness and surrender.
We acknowledge that our family is not only meant to be blessed, but also sent;
commissioned for Your purposes in the earth.
Lord, anoint us afresh for the assignment You have placed upon our household. Let
each member of this family walk in their God-given purpose with clarity, courage,
and obedience. Unite our hearts so that we move in agreement, not only within our
home, but also in the work of Your Kingdom.
Send us as a family that carries light into dark places, peace into chaos, and hope into
brokenness. Let our lives reflect Christ in our words, actions, and relationships.
Strengthen us to serve You faithfully in every season and every assignment You
entrust to us.
We declare that we are available, willing, and ready; send us, Lord, and use us for
Your glory.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
