Week 3: Covenant Renewal & Healing the Land
Additional Scriptural Anchors for Week 3:
- 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
- Genesis 2:15: “Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.”
- Deuteronomy 28:3-5: “Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.”
Day 17 (17 Feb): Breaking Agreement with Despair & Rebuilding National Faith
Action item 1: Repenting for Agreement with Fear, Cynicism, and Unbelief
Numbers 14:28 “Just as you have spoken in My hearing, so I will do to you.”
Joel 3:10 “Let the weak say, ‘I am strong’”.
- Father, we confess that as believers in South Africa, we have allowed discouragement to shape our words and thus our world. We have spoken death over our nation, criticized without interceding, and lost faith in what You are able to do. Forgive us for agreeing with decline instead of contending for restoration. Cleanse us from unbelief and restore a spirit of faith within Your Church.
Action item 2: Breaking the Power of Negative Declarations Over the Nation
Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit”
- Lord, Your Word says that life and death are in the power of the tongue. We renounce every careless word spoken over South Africa – words of hopelessness, failure, collapse, and destruction. We cancel every agreement with violence, corruption, and decay. We choose to speak life, restoration, righteousness, and revival over this land.
Action item 3: Rebuilding Faith in the Sovereignty of God and His Redemptive Plan
Psalm 22:28 “For the Kingdom is the Lord’s an He rules over the nations”
- Father, You remain enthroned over the nations (Psalm 22:28). We declare that our faith is not in political systems but in You. Restore confidence in Your governance over South Africa. Awaken bold intercession in the Church. Let hope arise again. Where faith was weakened, strengthen it. Where vision was lost, restore it. We declare that the story of South Africa is not finished – You are able to redeem, restore, and revive.
