BREAKING CYCLES OF POVERTY AND ECONOMIC OPPRESSION
Day 18 (18 June 2026)
Action item 1: Pray for economic restoration and sustainable opportunities for families.
Joel 2:25-26 “So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten…”
Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth…”
Psalm 90:17 “…and establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.”
Father, we thank You that You are the God who restores and provides. Your Word declares that You will restore the years that the locust has eaten, and that Your people shall eat in plenty and be satisfied. We ask You to bring economic restoration to families, communities, and our nation. Restore what has been lost through poverty, hardship, and injustice, and replace lack with Your provision and hope. Lord, You are the One who gives us the power to create wealth. Teach us to be diligent, faithful, and wise stewards of every opportunity and resource You place in our hands. Open doors for meaningful work, enterprise, and sustainable provision, that families may flourish and future generations be established in blessing. Let Your favor rest upon us and establish the work of our hands. May the labor of Your people be fruitful, productive, and impactful, bringing dignity, stability, and prosperity to our communities. We declare the breaking of every cycle of poverty and economic oppression, and we release Your restoration, provision, and blessing over our land. We pray in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action Item 2: Intercede for ethical business practices and kingdom-minded stewardship.
Proverbs 11:1 “Dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is His delight.”
Luke 16:10 “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”
Proverbs 21:5 “The plans of the diligent lead surely to plenty, but those of everyone who is hasty, surely to poverty.”
Colossians 3:23-24 “And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, 24knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ.”
Father, we thank You that You are a God of righteousness, justice, and truth. Your Word declares that dishonest scales are an abomination to You, but honest dealings bring You delight. We pray for every business, workplace, and sphere of commerce in our nation. Let integrity, honesty, and godly stewardship replace corruption, greed, and dishonest gain. May all who handle resources and finances do so with clean hands and hearts that honour You. Raise up faithful stewards who can be trusted with much because they have been faithful with little. Grant business leaders wisdom, diligence, and sound judgment, and establish the work of their hands. Teach us to labour with excellence and to steward every opportunity and resource for Your glory and the advancement of Your Kingdom. May businesses prosper in ways that create opportunity, strengthen communities, and reflect Your righteousness and justice. Let our nation become a testimony of Your goodness, truth, and faithful provision. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Action item 3: Declare the breaking of cycles of poverty, dependency, and lack.
Deuteronomy 28:1-2 “if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe all His commandments…2And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:”
Hosea 4:6 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. because you have rejected knowledge,…because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children.”
Psalm 25:4 “Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. 5Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation;…”
Abba Father, we come before Your throne, trusting in Your Word and Your promise that blessing follows obedience. Forgive us for rejecting Your knowledge and departing from Your ways. As Your truth takes root in our hearts, bring transformation, restoration, and renewal throughout our land. Father, break every generational cycle of poverty, dependency, lack, and economic oppression over our nation. Teach us to be faithful stewards, diligent in our work, generous in our giving, and unwavering in our trust that You alone are our source and provider. As the Body of Christ, we stand united against every curse, stronghold, and work of darkness that keeps people in bondage. In the authority of Jesus Christ, we declare freedom over our land, the breaking of every yoke, and the release of Your provision, opportunity, and Kingdom abundance. We declare breakthrough over our nation, our families, and our destiny. We pray in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

- We declare that God is healing the wounds of the past and bringing restoration, reconciliation, and hope to our nation.
- We declare that every wall of division is coming down as God unites hearts in love, honour, and understanding.
- We declare that forgiveness will triumph over bitterness, and unity will replace mistrust and offense.
- We declare that what was intended for division, God is turning into a testimony of reconciliation and restoration.
- We declare that a new legacy of unity, justice, and covenant blessing is being established for future generations.
