WEEK 7: RESTORATION OF NATIONAL IDENTITY AND PURPOSE

SOUTH AFRICA AS A LIGHT TO AFRICA AND THE NATIONS: Praying for national influence that reflects God’s glory, righteousness, and justice.
Action item 1: Pray for South Africa to reflect God’s character among the nations.
Isaiah 60:1-3 “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. 2For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you. 3The Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.”
Matthew 5:14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Psalm 67:1-2 “God be merciful to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us, 2That Your way may be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.”
Action item 2: Pray for Godly influence across Africa and beyond
Genesis 12:2–3 “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. 3I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Isaiah 2:2-3 “Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the LORD’S house shall be established on the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. 3Many people shall come and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
Zechariah 8:23 “Thus says the LORD of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’”
Action item 3: Declare the knowledge of the Lord over South Africa and the nations
Habakkuk 2:14 “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
Isaiah 11:9 “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea.”
Psalm 72:19 “And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.”
- Lord, we ask You to transform South Africa into a nation known for righteousness, justice, compassion, integrity, and the fear of the Lord. May our lives and our nation point people to You rather than to human achievement and let Your glory be revealed through every sphere of society.
- Lord, make South Africa a blessing to Africa and the nations of the world. Use Your Church, businesses, educational institutions, and leaders to bring reconciliation, godly leadership, innovation, humanitarian care, and spiritual encouragement beyond our borders. May our nation reflect Your love and advance Your righteousness wherever You send us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prophetic Declarations
- We declare that South Africa will carry the light of Christ across Africa and to the nations of the earth, shining as a beacon of hope and truth.
- We declare that revival will sweep through South Africa, bringing the knowledge of God, transformation, and spiritual awakening throughout the land.

- We declare that South Africa’s influence will extend beyond its borders, bringing healing, reconciliation, and godly leadership to other nations.
- We declare that South Africa’s greatest export will be the testimony of God’s goodness, wisdom, and glory, revealed through a transformed people and a transformed nation.
