Week 03: Standing in the Gap against Destruction and Disaster

Day 18 (19 May 2026)

Theme: Psalm 121:7…”The Lord shall Preserve You”

Prayer Points:  Preservation of Life and Families

Action item 1: The Lord shall preserve you.

Psalm 121:7–8 “The Lord will keep you from all harm; He will watch over your life; 8 the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.”

  • Father, preserve lives across every province affected by disaster and instability. LORD JESUS, You are the Head. You are the Head of all authority in all existence, in every realm. You are the source of power. You are the source of all that is. You are the Creator. Thank You, Jesus, for imparting Your authority to us. We take our position now, restored because of what You did at the cross. And as Your image bearers, with Your authority to subdue the earth. Thank You Jesus, we will speak and it will be established. Father, preserve lives across every province affected by disaster and instability.   We speak SHALOM over every province in Jesus Name. Holy Spirit, breathe over the provinces.  Let everyone experience and feel Your presence.   We decree that the Lord will keep us from all harm, He will watch over our lives. The Lord will watch over our coming and going forevermore.

Action item 2:  Pray for those effected to find comfort in the Lord.

Isaiah 43:2 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

  • Comfort grieving families, displaced communities and those who have suffered devastating losses. We ask for divine restoration. We pray that You will comfort grieving families with Your tangible presence. We pray that You will encounter them and release Your angels to pursue those not yet saved in Jesus’ name.

Action item 3: Prayer to release divine preservation and destiny.

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Let South Africa not enter a season of fear, hopelessness and trauma, but of divine preservation, but let South Africa enter her God given destiny. We lift Your name as a BANNER OVER SOUTH AFRICA. Cover this nation with the Blood of the Lamb. Soak our nation and our soil in Your blood that demonic strongholds will be evicted because of Your PRESENCE ON OUR LAND IN JESUS NAME!
