WEEK 4: RESTORATION OF RIGHTEOUS GOVERNANCE

Theme Focus: Interceding for leadership across all levels of government. Establishing integrity, accountability, and servant leadership. Confronting corruption and praying for leaders who uphold justice and truth.

Day 22:  (22 June 2026)

Realignment of Government under God’s Authority

We begin this week by acknowledging God as the true Ruler over nations including South Africa and placing every level of the South African government under His Lordship.

Action item 1: Pray specifically over provinces and communities heavily affected by violence and crime.

Proverbs 16:7 (ESV) “When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.”

  • Father, we lift up our country to You. We lift up every province, city, township, and community plagued by violence and crime to You. Let Your peace reign in these areas, and let every atmosphere of fear be replaced with Your presence and protection. We speak peace over our country and we rebuke fear in Jesus’ Name.

Proverbs 2:6 (ESV) “For the LORD gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding;”

  • Father, we pray for our police community. Lord, strengthen law enforcement agencies, community leaders, churches, and neighborhood watch groups. Grant them wisdom, courage, and unity as they work to restore safety and justice. Give them wisdom and understanding as they go out to patrol in unsafe areas.

2 Chronicles 7:14 (ESV)“if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven.”

  • We humble ourselves in Your sight and we ask You to be merciful towards us. We pray for a spiritual awakening in crime-ridden communities. Turn hearts away from violence, gangs, drugs, and criminal activity, and draw people into a life of purpose and righteousness.

Action item 2: Intercede for families who have lost loved ones through violence and injustice.

Matthew 5:4 (ESV) “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

  • Father in the name of Jesus we ask that You stretch Your loving arms around all those that are grieving because of the loss of loved ones. Father of all comfort, minister to families grieving the loss of loved ones through violence and injustice. Surround them with Your peace, healing, and strength during their time of sorrow.

Psalm 34:18 (ESV) “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”

  • Lord thank You for Your Word, that says that You are our “parakletos.” You are the one who comes along side us to provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support. Lord care for widows, widowers, parents, children, and relatives affected by tragic loss. Raise up caring communities to walk alongside them. Thank You Lord of the Harvest and send workers into the vineyard in Jesus’ Name.

Romans 15:13 (ESV) May the God of hope fill You with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit You may abound in hope.”

  • May the God of peace be with You. And we pray that bitterness, anger, and despair will not take root in the peoples grieving hearts. Instead, bring restoration, hope, and the assurance of Your unfailing love in Jesus’ Name.

Action item 3: Declare the silencing of the spirit of murder and death over South Africa.

John 10:10 (ESV) “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

In the name of Jesus, we declare that the spirit of murder, bloodshed, and death has no authority over South Africa. We command every assignment of violence to be broken and rendered powerless. You have no right over our nation. We cancel all these spirits in Jesus’ name.

Isaiah 54:17 (ESV) “No weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication[a] from Me, declares the Lord.”

Lord, release a spirit of life, peace, reconciliation, and righteousness across our nation. Let homes, schools, workplaces, and communities become places of safety and hope. We ask in the name of Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 14:34 (ESV) “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

We proclaim that South Africa belongs to You. Let every scheme that promotes violence and destruction be exposed and overturned, and let Your kingdom of justice and peace prevail throughout the land.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:

  • Father, we declare that South Africa will not be ruled by fear, violence, bloodshed, or injustice. We speak Your peace over our provinces, Your comfort over grieving families, and Your protection over every community. Let righteousness, justice, and the fear of the Lord arise throughout the nation. We declare life over death, hope over despair, and unity over division. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
