WEEK 4: RESTORATION OF RIGHTEOUS GOVERNANCE

Day 23 (23 June 2026)

CLEANSING OF CORRUPTION AND HIDDEN WORKS OF DARKNESS – Intercession against corruption, bribery, manipulation, and injustice embedded in systems at every level of government (National, Provincial and Local).

Action item 1: Pray for righteous exposure and dismantling of corrupt systems

Luke 8:17 “For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.”

  • Father, expose every hidden work of corruption, fraud, bribery, and injustice operating in our nation. Bring everything done in darkness into the light so that truth may prevail. In the mighty Name of Jesus.

Psalm 33:5 “He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.”

  • Lord, uproot and dismantle every corrupt system that oppresses people, steals resources, and hinders the progress of our nation. Establish systems founded on righteousness and justice. Thank you Lord, that you love justice and mercy. Help us to love what you love in Jesus’ name.

Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

  • Lord, You commanded us to be strong and courageous. You have called us to have no fear. So today we pray that Your angels protect every person that is fighting evil in the name of Jesus. Father, protect and strengthen whistleblowers, investigators, journalists, and all who courageously stand for truth and accountability.

Action item 2: Intercede for integrity and conviction among government, business, and civic leaders

Proverbs 29:2 “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.”

  • We pray to the Lord of the harvest to send workers into the vineyard. Your vineyard is not just the church; therefore we ask that you send godly workers into all the highways and byways of the marketplace. Lord, raise up leaders in government, business, education, and civil society who fear You and lead with honesty, humility, and integrity. In the name of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 7:10 “For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas worldly grief produces death.”

  • Father, convict leaders whose hearts have been compromised by greed, selfish ambition, or corruption. Lead them to repentance and a renewed commitment to serve with integrity. Lead their hearts back to You in Jesus’ name. Let them be convicted of sin, righteousness and justice

James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”

  • Father, You hold the heart of leaders in Your hands. Lead our leaders by Your wisdom and direction. Lord, grant wisdom and discernment to every leader making decisions that affect communities, businesses, and the nation. May their choices promote justice and the common good.

Action item 3: Declare that justice, truth, and righteousness will prevail in South Africa

Isaiah 1:17 “learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.”

  • We come against every lying tongue and deceitful intension in the leaders of our country. We declare that justice will flow throughout South Africa and that every form of oppression, corruption, and injustice will be confronted and overcome. We break down the spirit that wants to cause lawlessness and disorder in South Africa in the name of Jesus.

Proverbs 12:22 “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.”

Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

  • Your words says that righteousness exalts a nation. So, in the Name of Jesus, I pray that righteousness will prevail in the hearts of our leaders. The ones that are in control of our country. Lord, let truth prevail in every sphere of society. Expose lies, deception, and manipulation, and establish a culture of honesty and accountability.

Psalm 33:12 “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!”

  • We proclaim that righteousness will exalt South Africa and that the fear of the Lord will guide our leaders, institutions, and citizens. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. I pray for wisdom over our leaders to have a reverential fear of the Lord. To put South Africa under the fear and admonition of God.
