WEEK 4: RESTORATION OF RIGHTEOUS GOVERNANCE
Day 24 (24 June 2026)
Raising of Righteous Leaders:Praying for God to raise leaders with clean hands, pure hearts, and servant leadership DNA in all spheres of government.
Action item 1: Pray for God to identify, prepare, and position righteous men and women for leadership at local, provincial, and national levels.
Psalm 75:6-7 “For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, 7but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another.”
- Lord, flood our country with leaders that have Your heart. Raise up leaders with speed in the Name of Jesus. Father, raise up righteous men and women whom You have chosen for positions of influence and leadership throughout South Africa. Position them strategically at local, provincial, and national levels to fulfil Your purposes. Remove those that have evil intensions that are holding positions of leadership in our country. Replace them with godly leaders.
Proverbs 22:29 “Do you see a man skillful in his work? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.”
- Strengthen all our leaders Lord. Lord, prepare future leaders through seasons of growth, testing, and character development so that they may lead with wisdom and maturity when their time comes. Raise them now in Jesus’ name. Open doors to raise up leaders that will follow Your spirit and Your heart in Jesus’ name.
Revelation 3:8 “I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”
- Father, open doors that no one can shut for those You have called to lead. Remove obstacles, favour them with divine opportunities, and establish them in positions where they can bring positive change. In Jesus Name.
Action item 2: Intercede for leaders to govern with humility, wisdom, integrity, and a genuine heart to serve the people rather than themselves.
Mark 10:43 “But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant.”
- Lord, You said in Your word that You will lift up the humble and oppose the proud. Break down all pride in our leaders and fill our leaders with humility and a servant-hearted attitude. May they seek the welfare of the people they serve above personal gain or political ambition. For what does it matter that we gain the whole world and lose our souls?
Philippians 2:3 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
- Father, grant leaders the wisdom to make decisions that promote justice, peace, and prosperity. Lead them by Your Spirit and may Your word be a lamp unto their path and a light unto their feet. May they seek Your guidance in every matter affecting the nation. In Jesus name.
Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.”
- We ask You Lord with Your permission that You send Your angels to encamp around those leaders that serve You especially in our government and political sector. Lord, strengthen these leaders to walk in integrity and truth. Protect them from corruption, compromise, and ungodly influences that seek to derail their calling. I ask in the mighty name of Jesus.
Action item 3: Pray for a new generation of ethical, courageous, and God-fearing leaders to emerge in government, public service, and civic institutions.
Exodus 18:21 “Moreover, look for able men from all the people, men who fear God, who are trustworthy and hate a bribe, and place such men over the people as chiefs of thousands, of hundreds, of fifties, and of tens.”
- Raise up a new generation of leaders who fear You, love truth, and are committed to righteousness in every sphere of society. Leaders that will follow You in all things in Jesus’ name.
2 Timothy 1:6-7 “For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
- Lord, empower young leaders with courage to stand for what is right, even when facing opposition, pressure, or persecution. We pray this in the name of Jesus.
2 Timothy 1:6-7 “For this reason, I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.”
- Father, stir a passion for public service among young men and women. Let them see leadership as a calling to serve, transform communities, and advance justice and righteousness. Lord put the fire of God in our young leaders. In Jesus name.
