WEEK 4: RESTORATION OF RIGHTEOUS GOVERNANCE
Day 28: (28 June 2026)
Restoration of National Identity through Righteous Leadership: Declaring a shift in national culture where leadership reflects justice, humility, and stewardship
Action item 1: Pray for a national culture that honours integrity, justice, truth, humility, and servant leadership in every sphere of society.
Proverbs 11:1-3 “A false balance is an abomination to the Lord, but a just weight is his delight. 2When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.3The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.”
- Father, establish a culture throughout South Africa that values integrity, honesty, and truth in homes, schools, workplaces, churches, businesses, and government institutions. Remove any evil, wicked culture that breeds dishonesty and rebellion in Jesus’ name. “The Lord detests lying lips, but He delights in people who are trustworthy” declares Proverbs 12:22.
Proverbs 12:22-23 “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight. 23A prudent man conceals knowledge, but the heart of fools proclaims folly.”
- Lord, let justice become a foundational value in our nation. May citizens and leaders alike pursue righteousness, fairness, and compassion in all their dealings. Lord let godly values be the anchor of our nation. I pray that You raise up leaders that carry the heart of God. In Jesus’ name.
Philippians 2:1-4 “So, if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy,2complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. 3Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. 4Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
- Father, raise up servant leaders in every sphere of society who lead with humility, compassion, and a genuine desire to serve others rather than themselves. As scripture says, “Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” — Mark 10:43
Action item 2: Intercede for leaders whose example inspires unity, responsibility, ethical conduct, and hope for future generations.
1 Timothy 4:12 “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
- Lord raise up ethical leaders. Send workers into the vineyard. Lord, raise up leaders whose lives and character inspire trust, responsibility, ethical conduct, and moral courage in those they lead. As scripture says, “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely.” declares Proverbs 10:9
Ephesians 4:1-6 “I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love,3eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call, 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.”
- Father, use our leaders to promote unity and reconciliation across racial, cultural, political, and economic divides. Let them be peacemakers and bridge-builders. Jesus says “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” (Matthew 5:9)
Proverbs 20:6-7 “Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love, but a faithful man who can find? 7The righteous who walks in his integrity, blessed are his children after him!”
- Lord, let the example of righteous leadership inspire hope in young people and future generations. May they see leadership as a calling to serve and make a difference. Break the demonic hold that is on our young people who follow leaders that are living sinful lives. Let godliness rise up in our young people in the name of Jesus.
Action item 3: Declare the restoration of South Africa’s identity as a nation marked by justice, reconciliation, wise stewardship, and the fear of the Lord.
Psalm 33:11-12 “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of his heart to all generations.12Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people whom he has chosen as his heritage!”
- Father, restore South Africa’s identity as a nation that pursues justice, righteousness, and truth. Let Your purposes for our nation be fulfilled. Lord makes our name great and restore our good reputation and name in Jesus’ name. Scripture says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.” (Proverbs 14:34)
Micah 6:8 “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?”
- Lord, bring healing and reconciliation where there has been division, hurt, mistrust, and conflict. Unite our people in a shared vision of peace and prosperity. We speak peace over our streets and declare that God of peace will soon crush satan underneath our feet. The word of the Lord says, “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!” — Psalm 133:1
Ephesians 2:14-16 “For He Himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility 15by abolishing the law of commandments expressed in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16 and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility.”
- Father, we declare that South Africa will be a nation marked by integrity, justice, truth, humility, and servant leadership. We pray for leaders whose example inspires unity, responsibility, ethical conduct, and hope for future generations. We declare the restoration of our national identity as a people committed to reconciliation, wise stewardship, and the fear of the Lord. Let righteousness exalt our nation, let justice flow throughout the land, and let Your peace and blessing rest upon South Africa. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
