WEEK 5: JUSTICE AND THE RULE OF LAW

Day 34 (4 July 2026)

Theme: Integrity and Restoration of Legal Systems: Rebuilding trustworthy justice systems.

Action item 1: Pray for reform and strengthening of South Africa’s legal frameworks.

Proverbs 11:3 “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”

Psalm 7:8 “Let the Lord judge the peoples, Judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, according to my integrity, O Most High.”

Isaiah 1:17 “Learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow”.

  • Lord in the Mighty name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, we bring our legal system unto the Throne of Grace. Lord when You created this country You had in mind how the legal system should function and serve the people of the country. Father, as God who loves justice, this has become lost in our nation. We therefore come to the Throne of Grace and pray that our justice system return to its original intent as is written in the books of heaven concerning this nation. Where the books have been sealed concerning our justice system, we are praying Lord that they be opened in Jesus Christ’s name so as to enable Your purpose concerning the justice system to comes to pass according to Isaiah 29:10-11. On this day we declare Daniel 7:10, that books of the nation be opened concerning the judiciary so transformation may take place in Jesus Christ’s name, we pray.

Action item 2: Intercede for restoration of public trust in justice institutions.

Proverbs 3: 5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

1 Chronicles 28: 9 “And you my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.”

Psalm 37: 5 “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this.”

  • Father, when the righteous rule, there is peace in the land. As we bring our justice institution before the throne of grace, the judiciary has failed so many for such a long time, that trust in the justice system has faded to the point that communities are taking the law into their own hands because they they’ve been failed not only by the judicial system, but by law enforcement also. Father we are praying that You restore trust again to the justice institutions. We know that as we lay our course and ourselves before the throne of Grace there is a shift in the spirit. Father, we ask that this manifest in the natural to restore the people’s trust again. We call forth hope on the judicial system to manifest in Jesus Christ’s name. (Hebrews 11:1) Our hope and trust are only in You Lord, that there will be restoration of trust in our justice institutions in Jesus Christ’s name.

Action item 3: Declare ethical renewal across courts, prosecution, and policing systems.

Jeremiah 5:28 “and have grown fat and sleek. Their evil deeds have no limit, they do not plead the case of the fatherless to win it, they do not defend the rights of the poor.”

Genesis 6:12 “God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways.

Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – His good, pleasing perfect will.”

  • Father, there is so much moral decay and violence in our nation, that it has become a norm. Lord on this day we declare ethical renewal in our judicial system. We declare that there will be no more corruption in the corridors of our justice system. We declare total transformation, fear of the Lord and renewal of minds so as to walk in the perfect will of God in Jesus Christ’s name.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS:

  • “We declare a total restoration of our justice system to its original intent by God.”
  • “We declare God’s love of justice will and is being restored so as to bring back the nations trust in our judicial system.”
  • “We declare total restoration and transformation of legislation that is in the perfect will of God. The rule of law that is biblical sound and advance restoration in society.” (2 Chronicles 34 and 35).
