WEEK 15: KINGDOM CULTURE AND BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW

Day 101 (9 September 2026)

Theme: Kingdom Values in Education

Praying for South Africa’s education system to become a place where truth, wisdom, character, excellence, responsibility, and human dignity are cultivated in the next generation. Praying for educators, school leaders, parents, governing bodies, universities, colleges, vocational institutions, and all those responsible for shaping learners to recognise the profound responsibility entrusted to them. Asking God to establish education that develops not only knowledgeable minds, but discerning, principled, responsible, and purpose-driven people who can contribute to the flourishing of the nation and fulfil God’s purposes in their generation.

*All scriptures (unless otherwise stated) are from The Passion Translation (TPT)

Action item 1: Establish truth, wisdom and the fear of the Lord in Education.

Proverbs 1:7 “We cross the threshold of true knowledge when we live in obedient devotion to God. Stubborn know-it-alls will never stop to do this, for they scorn true wisdom and knowledge.”

Proverbs 2:6-9 “6 Wisdom is a gift from a generous God, and every word He speaks is full of revelation and becomes a fountain of understanding within you. (TPT) 7 He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless 8 for He guards the course of the just and protects the way of His faithful ones. (NIV) 9 Then you will discover all that is just, proper, and fair, and be empowered to make the right decisions as you walk into your destiny”

Deuteronomy 4:9-10 “9 Only be careful and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them. 10 Remember the day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, when He said to me, “Assemble the people before Me to hear My words so that they may learn to revere Me as long as they live in the land and may teach them to their children.” (NIV)

  • Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, We ask that Your truth be honoured within South Africa’s educational environment. We pray that our education system will be Word-based, and that education will cultivate wisdom, discernment, moral responsibility, and a love for truth, rather than merely the accumulation of information. We pray that the doing of the Word and not hearing only will be instilled in learners, together with the fruit of the Holy Spirit being evident in their lives, character, and conduct. We pray that the fear of the Lord will be recognised as foundational to genuine wisdom, and that learners will be equipped to distinguish truth from deception. Father, we pray that Your Word will be the moral compass within the education system of our nation, guiding both learners and teachers. We pray that learners and teachers alike will be born again and filled with the Holy Spirit, with an insatiable hunger for spiritual truth, spiritual realities, and principles that are founded on Your Word. Let our education system not only impart knowledge, but produce wisdom, discernment, godly character, and a generation that knows, loves, and lives according to Your truth. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Action item 2: Raise righteous and wise educators and educational leaders.

Daniel 12:3 “Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” (NIV)

James 3:1 “Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.” (NIV)

Titus 2:7-8 “7In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.” (NIV)

  • Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, anoint teachers, lecturers, principals, school governing bodies, education officials, university leaders, researchers, and all those entrusted with shaping the educational environment with fresh oil from heaven to influence this end-time society for the advancement of Your Kingdom. Give them integrity, wisdom, excellence, compassion, and courage, together with a genuine commitment to the wellbeing and development of those they teach. Anoint educators to manifest You in the earth and recognise the influence they carry in shaping minds, character, values, and future leaders. May they use this influence to advance truth, righteousness, and Your purposes, in Jesus’ name.

Action item 3: Protect and prepare the next generation for God’s purposes.

Psalm 78:5-7 “He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which he commanded our ancestors to teach their children, 6 so the next generation would know them, even the children yet to be born, and they in turn would tell their children. 7 Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget his deeds but would keep his commands.”(NIV)

1 Timothy 4:12 “And don’t be intimidated by those who are older than you; simply be the example they need to see by being faithful and true in all that you do. Speak the truth and live a life of purity and authentic love as you remain strong in your faith.”

Ephesians 2:10 “We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!”

  • Father, in Jesus’ name, protect children, young people, students, and emerging professionals from deception, destructive ideologies, hopelessness, violence, substance abuse, and influences that undermine their identity and purpose. Empower them to develop wisdom, character, resilience, and excellence, and give them a clear understanding of their God-given gifts, calling, and responsibility to their generation and nation. May they walk in truth, fulfil their God-given potential, and become a positive influence in society, in Jesus’ name.
